I've had them on for almost a year now. Every now and then they rub my inner cheeks and lips raw. It hurts to talk! Serious answers please, I obviously know that if I shut up it won't hurt so bad.

I am getting a root canal done tomorrow and then another one done in 6 months. The other one has a temporary filling and is not painful for me. However I don't know if I want to wait that long? My endodontist said he will put some more temporery filling. Is that okay? Also, what is it like getting a root canal? Can anyone compare it to a filling? I heard from people that it was long but not painful.

I am looking for free dental care I have no insurance and only have $400 a month income. Can anyone HELP I am in pain and can't find any help in Austin TX. Believe it or not I'm not poor enough to get State help. I don't live in a shelter, I live with friends, so ARCh can't help. Any Help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I stopped believing dentists cure cavities, and started to think cavities cure themselves. Given you stick to one decent brand of toothpaste three times a day, mouthwash and good food without too much sugar - the coating on your teeth will remain strong, cavities might appear and disappear..
My teeth look excellent, but my last dentist appointment was in the year 2000. So.. DO you still believe, or is it a money spindling scam?

I am getting my teeth bleached by my dentist very soon, it will be in-office bleaching, and I need to know what foods and drinks to avoid after I get them bleached because I heard that certain foods/drinks will stain your teeth, so which foods/drinks do I avoid?

(10 points for the one who acutally names a lot, like a list of the foods and drinks.)

But my insurance doesn't cover the root canal or the crown and post. So the fee becomes a reduced fee of whatever the dentists (2 in my case) wants to charge, which is around $1600.00. I can't afford that. But I am in extreme pain and take medication for the pain twice a day everyday for the past 2 weeks now. I can't afford to pay for this and I can't save up the money either cause of bills and childcare. What can I do?

I'm getting my teeth bleached at the dentist very soon, it will be in-office bleaching, when I was young I never brushed them and this caused them to become nasty looking, but finally ths will be gone. And I heard that tea, soda, and other drinks stain your teeth, what drinks can I drink that dont stain teeth, and can I drink soda that is clear, like sprite?
