Ouch!
I had all 4 done at the same time.
Honey, drink water.
Tea has caffeine in it and you don't need any stimulation.
You need to flush all poison that has built up from the stress of going to the dentist to actually surgery.
It will help you heal faster because your body doesn't have to separate the chemicals from tea or juice to absorb the water it needs to make heal you up faster.
Save the tea for another time, say in a week or so.
You have been threw allot. Give yourself some time to heal.

You could...what everyone is saying about a straw is correct, DESTROY ALL STRAWS!
However, there are better things you could drink. The combo of the sugar and the caffiene is going to actually dehydrate you and also give you a jolt followed by a crash. Since you'll be on all liquids for at least a couple of days, you're better off drinking something better for you, that will keep your body replinished.
When I had all 4 of mine cut out at once, pretty much all I had was gatorade, slim fast, and chicken broth. I lasted about 3 days before I finally broke down and bought some soft tacos at taco bell....and I remember them tasting sooooo good.
Above all, rinse your stitches out with warm salt water, A LOT. I did mine basically almost every hour, because no way I was going to get dry socket. Plus it just felt good.

Yea no problem. go ahead have sweet tea.
As long as you wait at least four hours for the blood clots to form. and its not bleeding alot.
Also You should wait for the numbness to go away because you dont' want to hurt your numb lips.
The main reason you can't drink anything is coz if you do it washes the blood clots out of the sockets and then that can make you pretty sore, so just try and keep it away from the sockets and no problems. Add an extra sugar just for me :)

Yes. I was told by my oral surgeon, quite specifically, to drink a sweet iced tea, NO STRAW, immediately following surgery.

not sure, but I do remember you can't drink from a straw because of the pressure. Can you have clear liquids...then yes tea is ok.

Do not eat or drink for 4 hrs after and then you are OK. otherwise you could get a dry pocket and that is very painful.

1. Nothing Extremely HOT or COLD
2. Nothing through a STRAW until you get your stitches out.
You don't want to develop dry sockets, read the directions your oral surgeon gave you and follow them to the letter, if you have a question call them and ask. You don't want DRY SOCKETS!

Well if it is, I'm in deep doo-doo. But, if you are talking about shortly after the surgery, ask your dentist.
