The cost depends what sort of anaesthesia you get.
If you get them out using an injection (local anaesthetic) then it will be the cheapest. it may cost you around $120 per tooth.
If you get them out using an asedative it costs more
Then if you get them out under general anaesthetic (where they put you to sleep) you have to pay for the anaesthetist, the operating theatre and the cost of having your teeth out so it can cost a thousand or more.
You shouldn't get much pain except from the anaesthetic. It can hurt a bit afterwards, but if you get some painkillers that should minimize the pain.

Well, I just had one pulled, and I am terrified of the dentist. The secret lies in 2 words;
Nitrous Oxide.
Oh, almost forgot one other word:
Percocet.
It's not that bad. The nitrous makes you not care about the needle, the needle makes you not feel the tooth pulling, and the percocet makes you feel SO much better in the hours following. Good luck!
My cost $ 200 cash, and I went to a very good dentist.

Mine were pulled last month at $287.00 ( not impacted, fully grown) a tooth not including a sedation you choose, I always get IV Sleep Sedation which is very pricey and adds to the bill! Mine hurt tremendously having TMJ but if you don't it should not be so bad considering you have 1 or 2 taken out! Good Luck~

Mine (in Canada) cost somewhere b/c 500-700 dollars I believe. I felt absolutely NO pain since I was put under a mild anaesthetic. It was great! He put the needle in my arm, I fell right to sleep and it seemed like a minute later I woke up with everything finished, There was no pain, you just have to eat soup or soft foods for a bit and gargle a lot with salt water.

Don't know about costs but...pain..... it doesn't hurt at all during and they give you awesome drugs for the first few days. You HAVE to keep it clean or an infection will hurt BAD. Other than that...it's only a little sore after you finish all the sweeet drugs.

probably a couple hundred bucks. mine didn't hurt, but some people's faces swell up for a few days after and are sore but mine didn't. if you have enough novacaine you won't feel a thing and when it wears off you'll have some minor soreness,nothing to affect you badly. don't pay attention to people's horror stories. I'd heard so many bad things about root canals but mine did not hurt at all

It costs a lot of money, best to get insurance. You have to pay for the visits and x-rays, the operation itself and products the dentist uses, then the drug(s). And yes it hurts, thats why the drug(s) are useful

Around the £40 mark. Doesn't hurt. It's the nausea that's the trouble. Get some yoghurt.

Well, i got all 4 taken out in one shot, in the hospital, b/c they were so impacted. I was there for like 2 days. My face was HUGE. It didn't really hurt, b/c i was like totally under and i was given Demerol. The cost, i dunno. It was covered under the Canandian Health Care system. I do know pple who have had 1-2 taken out in the "chair" and their face is frozen. It's not pleasant. And my guess it's probably anywhere like $600.00- 1K a tooth.......................but's that a total guess.
