Absolutely.

Normal brand toothpaste contains Flouride, as we all know.

Very recent studies into the chemistry of flouride and tests conducded to test use over long period of time have concluded that flouride actually damages your enamel, but only in large amounts (hence over a long period of time).

For toothpaste without flouride, check your local grocery stores, Food co-ops, and natural food outlets.

Some toothpastes have added ingredients to help fight cavities (fluoride), sensitivity (potassium nitrate), or germs in general (Triclosan). Some have various whitening agents or tartar inhibiting agents.

Does "brass" mean to shine or polish the teeth? If it does, than yes, there are other benefits besides simply shining the teeth.
