i did a search on the internet. i typed in "teeth whitening - home remedies" and i got this "took a swig of hydrogen peroxide, and swirled it around my mouth, (just like mouthwash) and left it in for a minute. I saw a difference in just 2 days!" they're were votes on it, many people tried this method and said that it worked. is it safe?

I need to have dental work done that i have put off for 10 years because the shots with the epinephrine cause rapid, pounding heartbeat for about 20 minutes straight that made my heart hurt painfully. I have been told I could get a shot without the epinephrine but that it would cause too much pain and too much bleeding. The dentist decided not to work on me. What are my options now? Has anyone had this kind of problem?

I've been going to the same dentist for over 30 years. Recently I have noticed tooth sensitivity along my gum line. When I asked him about this he said that it was due to brushing too hard over the years and that I had worn away the enamel on my teeth. But he never warned me about this steadily increasing problem. Now he wants to cap all of my teeth for $200 each. If you do not warn your client of the damage he is doing to his teeth (so that you can later make money off the problem) is this considered Malpractice?

I take great care of my teeth, or so I thought. I brush my teeth at least 2-3 times a day, I floss a few times a week, and I have not had any cavities in over 20 years. Now all of a sudden I have not one but three cavities. Can anything other than poor dental care practices cause cavities?

Turns out I need a couple of fillings in my front teeth, in between the middle two on the top and then to one side of that as well.

How do they do fillings on front teeth? Does it hurt more than fillings in your back teeth? And will you be able to see the fillings once they're done?

For some reason, getting fillings in my back teeth doesn't bother me at all, I've had a few and need another few and I'm not fussed about that, but getting fillings in my front teeth really freaks me out!!!

Also, once you have the fillings, can they fall out? I'm going to be really paranoid about biting into stuff incase they do!

I know my son is cutting teeth, but I am worried about the screaming and fevers. He doesn't want to eat much and everything makes him scream. What should I do? I alternate infants tylenol and motrin for the pain and fevers, I have used teething tablets and oragel. He wont take his teething ring and I even tried giving him a popcicle (which he usually loves), but he just screams at it.

I am 17 years old. I have 3 wisdom teeth coming in. But my mouth isnt big enough for them. And they arent coming in right. So I have to get them cut out. I am not good with pain..well I am if the pain isnt in my mouth. My brother got his wisdom teeth cut out to like bout 3 years ago. He said it doesnt hurt, but its really cool cuz of all the drugs they give you. My step brother said the same. But honestly I think they are just sayin that so I dont get scared. But I wanna know the truth. Does it hurt or not? And how long does it hurt?
