I need some feedback on the process and is there any pain? What is the experience like? Thanks!

I've had deep cleaning and scaling, and also some gum tissue cut, cleaned out and stitched back up. There was no pain whatsoever from the procedure itself (except for a mild stinging from the needle used to administer the anesthetic). Afterward I was given medication for the pain-- I didn't take it 'cause the pain was not bad at all. Don't worry about it--it's nothing!!

What specific kind of work are you having done? It really depends on the sensitivity of the dentist to your pain. If you find a good dentist, your pain should be minimal.

I had a deep root scaling once. The procedure itself wasn't so bad, it was the shots they gave me in the roof of my mouth that disturbed me. I hate needles.
