i went to get a check up and they said i have to get braces. now can u tell me how much they hurt and how hot do they look on a guy plz help

When I eat sometimes food get stuck in my two front teeth also my two front bottom teeth are not straight one goes up and is further out while the other is down and goes in. What can I do? Also my teeth are kind of yellow, will braces make it look worst? Please tell me info on braces to. I'm 12 years old

Could teeth tapping be a contributing factor to TMJ syndrome? For some reason I compulsively tap my teeth together almost all the time. I do also sometimes notice that I'm clenching my teeth really tightly as well, I don't know whether I clench or grind my teeth during the night.

I do have all the symptoms of TMJ syndrome although I haven't been diagnosed with it, but I do plan to ask my dentist about it next time I go. How effective are mouth guards in treating TMJ syndrome? One of my friends says she finds it very uncomfortable and can't sleep with hers in - I'm a really bad sleeper at the best of times, will wearing a mouthguard cause more problems?!

My dentist can't see me for over a month! 3 weeks after her first available appointment, I am eligible for another fiscal year's worth of dental money. Can I wait 2 months for this crown or should I just find another dentist?

I had to go to the dentist this morning because I had toothache, he said the tooth was badly decayed and he had to do a root canal on it. The local anaesthetic has worn off now and it's quite painful - not like the terrible toothache I had before, more of a dull achey pain. I know it's probably just because of the work that was done on the tooth, but how long should I expect it to last for? And can I take pain killers for it? What's best to take?

well everybody does it but i thought the point of flossing was to get food and stuff from inbetween your teeth,so why is it that when peoplefloss, theylook at the flosser and suck back in their mouth what they have just taken out??

I had to go to the dentist this morning because suddenly the tooth that was occasionally painful got REALLY painful all the time last night and I was up all night with toothache.......it was horrible!!! The whole visit was a disaster!!!

Anyway, I went to the dentist and he did some x-rays and stuff and said that the decay was really deep in the tooth and he had to do a root canal :o( He put a temporary filling in the tooth but he says I have to go back in a couple of weeks for a permanent filling in it and I'll have to get a crown as well.

What's a crown? And why do I have to get one? It sounds expensive!!! He says I have cavities in 2 of my wisdom teeth as well, and he wants to pull them out instead of doing fillings - why is that? Can't I just get fillings in them? And to finish off, I need to get two fillings as well in other teeth!!!!! But he wants to put silver fillings in because he says they're better than white ones, is that true?

I got 4 fillings in my teeth (I know, it's really bad) almost a month ago and 2 of them are totally fine, but the other 2 still hurt.

One of them doesn't hurt too bad, it's a little bit sore if I chew on it, but I think it's getting better. The other one hurts quite a lot though and it seems to be sore more of the time.......what's wrong with it?

I think all of the fillings were quite big, if I look in my mouth they cover a lot of the top of the tooth, the one that hurts the most is the biggest.

Will it get better? Or will I have to go back to the dentist? And what will he have to do? Will he have to pull it out? I'm really scared!!! I'm only 15 years old, these were my first ever fillings.

i have a pretty bad cavity...deep, painful (like, starting to cause migranes, can't think of anything else it's so painful), pretty much the entire surface of my tooth (a molar) is a cavity. can anyone give me an idea of how much it'll cost (i'm not being cheap, i'd just like an idea)?
