i went to get a check up and they said i have to get braces. now can u tell me how much they hurt and how hot do they look on a guy plz help

Yes, they will hurt at first. The reason is that teeth are actually attached to tiny little tentacles that connect to the tissue and then to the bone. The reason they hurt is because they're moving and it moves the nerves.
The GOOD news is that they only hurt for a day or two when you get them tightened.
I had invisalign for a couple of years (you could always do that) but braces are more effective, work faster and are cheaper.
I think they look totally cool. You;ll be happy you had them when your teeth are dynamite afterwards. A gorgeous smile is the greatest thing a person can posess. It's universal and everyone understands a smile. :)

Braces have improved over the years, I say if you got the clear ones you'd still be hot, a guy I know just got braces a week ago and they have made him gums and inside of his mouth bleed, but I know others that have them and didn't have too much problems with the once they got use to them. Hey it's different for everyone, just don't go and get bright colours.

I had braces several years ago. The main thing to remember is how nice your teeth will look once the braces come off. I always took Ibuprofen prior to my appointment which helped with the pain. Keep your braces clean and you will look fine with them.

Braces aren't that bad, I had them for 5 years. When you go in for your monthly adjustment, they are sensitive when you bite down that day, the next day you are fine. It is SO worth it. If you want a nice looking smile and you have the opportunity, it's worth every penny. You can smile with confidence.

They have invisible braces if you dont want them to be noticed. my aunts 30 year old friend has braces and no one says nothing to him. if you need get them. doesnt matter how you look your not a kid. if people make fun of you then there stupid or just a kid.

They do hurt! You could try the clear braces....they don't show up quite as much as the metal ones.

why not get the invisable kind?/ they have all kinds of new stuff nowadays!!check around if your dentist or endodontist doesnt have them.I have heard they can even put them on the back of your teeth so the dont show?
