If your mouth is too small to hold them without moving your other teeth; if the roots are beginning to grow into your jaw bone; if they continually have infections around them because you can't get your toothbrush all the way back there and truly do a good job of getting them clean; if you have a cist on the area around them; and if your dentist just thinks it's a good idea. They recommend that most people get them out, because they can cause problems down the road.

If they are going to grow in and crowd your other teeth is one of the circumstances, the other is if they are impacted (stuck under the gums). Mine are growing in probably, but I will probably get them pulled once they are all the way grown in, just because I've heard that they can still crowd up your teeth even if they do grow in properly, it will be easier that way because they won't have to cut them out, they'll just extract them. :)

I have three wisdom teeth they came in straight and I had enough room behind my molars that they didn't hurt the alignment of my teeth. So I wouldn't have them pulled unless they were going to come in crooked and mess up your alignment.

There are 2 main reasons: one is that they've already become impacted or 2.) because they could cause other problems like infection

when your mouth is too small and it starts pressing your two bottom teeth together. if you constantly bite the inside of your cheek. when they cause you pain or discomfort. I need to do the same thing my mouth is too small and it is crowding my teeth.

usually because of over crowding of other teeth. we don't really need them and if they are not coming in correctly then removal is usually advised. if you have room in your mouth for them and they are coming in straight and there is no decay then i guess you could keep them. widom teeth can seriously shift your other teeth if they dn't have enough room.

When you don't have enough room in your mouth for them, and when they will probably cause problems with your other teeth if they are left in.

I had one that was impacted,but had the four of them pulled for cosmetics(braces)at age of 22..:-)=
