The teeth are placed in the bio-hazard waste and then disposed of by the medical waste company. Sometimes the teeth are saved and placed in a solution of nutrients and sterilants and then given to the dental students so they can practice on these teeth.

I don't know but this question reminds me of my band teacher back in middle school. He kept a jar on his desk of teeth that students had lost during band. He'd been teaching for 20 years and that jar was BIG and FULL....there must have been hundreds, maybe thousands of teeth in there. Weird, eh?

My dentist disposes of the teeth in the red biohazard bag in the office. Because they have blood and spit on them they are potentially hazardous.

Most of them go into the medical waste bin. Some are saved and, after being sterilized, given to dental students for use in pre-clinical labs.

Chuck them in the garbage. Same with the doctors who amputate limbs or take out tumors or such.
They may incinerate it but it all gets thrown out.

Make a fortune off the tooth fairy XD
If I had to guess, they throw them away if the patient doesn't want to keep them.

Either they just throw them away, sometimes they put them with your file. and if you are a little kid they give them to you to put under your pillow. LOL! :)
