I know my son is cutting teeth, but I am worried about the screaming and fevers. He doesn't want to eat much and everything makes him scream. What should I do? I alternate infants tylenol and motrin for the pain and fevers, I have used teething tablets and oragel. He wont take his teething ring and I even tried giving him a popcicle (which he usually loves), but he just screams at it.

I did call the doctor, that is who told me to alternate tylenol and motrin. I would like to hear how other mothers help sooth their children. I don't depend on yahoo for this answer alone, I just like to hear answers from people who know what I am going through.

He is better today. Still fussy a little and chewing on everything, but the fevers are gone. I would have took him to the doctor, but with his, you have to call first to make sure it is not serious. Otherwise he just tells me what to do.

Night time is the time when the lil ones act up. The fever will rise and so will the pain and the crying. Always at nite. Isn't that something? Tylenol and anbesol might help. It's got to hurt. Try not giving a nap so late in the day so he'll be in a more sound sleep at night too. 15 month olds don't really want a teething ring anymore. They think they are grown ups. The screaming doesn't sound good. Maybe it's not teething related. He could have a gassy stomach. Maybe he wants your attention. Give him love and call your pediatrician for some advice. Good Luck........glad mine are grown lol (miss it though)

A slight fever is normal when teething, but I would take him to a doctor for a fever that high. Even it is nothing to really worry about it will give you some peace of mind.

ASK A DOCTOR!! What in the world are you doing asking people on this site a health related question regarding your son. They don't know any more than you do!! To be sure, ALWAYS consult a doctor when you have medical questions or need medical advice. NOT Yahoo!!

I hope this helps.

I doubt it is related to his teething. You need to take him to SEE a Doctor I would not be taking advice over the phone. My son was a few months old and started screaming at feeding time plus temperatures on and off and it turned out he had a urine infection, so totally unrelated to his mouth, (took 6 Doctors to diagnose - idiots, don't get me started), get him checked out!!!!
