is it good for me or will something horrible happen to me

2007-11-29 14:35:06 · 6 answers · asked by Raquel T 2 in Injuries

Do you think people who are suffering from serious mental diesease can not have a successful life? My older sister is suffering from it. She was a qualified doctor, spent a normal life but her life was ruined because her relationship was broken up. For the last 15 years, she went through electric shocks, pills, sorta prision life at hospital, all her own. She got married with another guy but she was divorced when her hubby figured it out. So All I am asking here is that she will spend her future life like this forever? She is just 38.

On tuesday I had a cavity filled, afterwards and all day wednesday up until about this afternoon I had no pain what so ever. Now suddenly while I was eating something I felt some pretty sharp pain from that tooth, and now I'm finding if I get anything on or in that tooth while eating I get that same pain until it is either rinsed or brushed out.

This is only my second filling ever and my first filling was on my very back molar after having my wisdom teeth pulled so I was drugged up on vicodin for a good week or so and probably wouldn't have felt it if someone punched me in the mouth. So I don't know if this is normal or not.

If it matters, it is a porcelain filling though my other filling is the same and I have no pain or sensitivty from that one.

Would a low carb High protein Diet be good for Losing Body Fat and Gaining muscle at the same time? I know The Atkins Diet works for losing weight and is relaitvely safe if you dont over do Red Meat and cheese all the time. Also of course a high protein diet is great for your muscles, am I correct in assuming the two would go hand in hand? thanks.

I'm going to the dentist in a week. I'm in pain now... taking Advil... rinsing with salt water. Just wondering if I should start antibiotics. Considering that I MAY need a root canal and that the tooth is sensitive to cold... it is currently sending an occasioanl sharp pain down my tooth, and I can't put cold air on it or it hurts. I waited until I had to resort to Advil because I hate taking meds... but what do you think about the Antibiotics? I just msgd my dentist asking her if she felt I should. Maybe the pain is there because there is an abcess forming and the abcess has no where to go because the tooth is closed. So maybe I should get antibiotics? Any dentists or RDAs out there that can advise? Thanks.

I have fibromylagia along with chronic low back/leg pain. I just finished round three of epidural injections to no avail, in fact if anything I feel worse. He just took me off morphine and put me on methadone and percocet. I dont want to be on all these drugs but the pain is excruciating. Today my dr. told me about this neurostimulator spinal cord implant http://www.spine-health.com/topics/surg/spinestim/spinestim01.html

I've done a little research on it but wondered if anybody has had any experience with it? What does it feel like? Is it worth it? Does it work?

If I was a horse they woulda shot me already.

Ok so...One day, out of nowhere. I woke up and felt a really
bad pain in my chest. Then I noticed that I had a lump the
size of a marble in my chest. I didn't tell anyone.
I cried my eyes out that day! I thought I had breast cancer.
But the next day when I woke up I had another one!

So...It turns out that I didn't have breast cancer, I just finally
got boobs.lol

So...My question is has anyone had boobs just come up out
of nowhere? also, I'm only 16 so I'm still growing in that area.
and sometimes When I wake up my boobs just, Grew out of nowhere over night. To the point where sometimes I can't fit
my bra anymore. But all my friends say that that doesn't
happen to them.

Has it ever happened to you?

Welll, (please I already know I'm stupid - so please dont rub it in my face) I made a dumb mistake. I have braces and i decided one bite of an apple wouldn't hurt, but of course .. I was wrong.
My top left bracket popped off and the wire that goes into the bracket in the back popped out, and the spring for my rubber bands on that side popped right out as well.
Well, I managed to slide the wire back into the braket and reposition the bracket in front - but it's still wobbly.
So, I can't wear a rubber band on the left side right now - but I can on the right.

(Oh, and if this makes a difference the orthodontist just told me the other day that my left side [where i CANT wear a rubber band] is right where it should be, we're just waiting for the right side [where i CAN wear a rubber band] to catch up)

Soo, my question is. Until my appointment next Tuesday, is it possible to only wear a rubber band on my right side? Or should I just wear no rubber bands at all?

Thank you!

Ok, I'm sorry if that question is kind of confusing...I currently feel AWFUL. I have a horrible headache, my body aches, and I feel colder than normal. But I don't have a fever or a stomach ache. Am I getting the flu?? Is is something else? It just kind of came over me in the last 2 hours. Thanks.

twice. Today was the 1st time I saw it. She has been in and out of counseling with no apparent improvement. The main problem is that our mental health insurance coverage has a $2000 deductible and we can't afford weekly $75 therapist visits. We are trying to raise 6 people on 1 $37,000 income. Does anyone know of some help that would be less expensive?

I occasionally eat with the intention of throwing up afterwards. Usually it is ice cream or some other dessert. I only do it at max twice a week. Sometimes I want a treat, and can't bear the thought of keeping the calories down. The thing is, I don't feel that bad about it. I don't have a poor body image, and am a fairly functional person overall. Am I doing damage to my body and my psyche?
