it depends wat kind of stress...because there is good stress and bad stress...the good stress will actually boost your immune system This stress is the type that is elicited by our "fight or flight" response to stimuli in the environment. On the other hand long term or chronic stress caused by illness or other worries can be harmfull to our health. if you are under large amounts of stress you can become tired, sick, and unable to concentrate or think clearly. In some cases this will lead up to a mental break down.

Bottled up stress can affect all the organs in your body. It can change your brain chemistry and mood; burn out your adrenal glands & thyroid; cause high blood pressure, aches & pains; give you headaches; lessen your ability to concentrate, pay attention; affect your memory; make you prone to accidents & injuries to name a few things!
NEVER bottle up your stress. Figure out what you're stressed about. Then try to set priorities of what you have to do and break down the tasks into small doable steps.
Do deep breathing: inhale thru your nose, exhale your your mouth & rest, each for a count of 3. Do for about 5 minutes. Drink soothing tea. Don't miss meals and eat healthily. Drink plenty of water.
If you need to express your stress & frustration, hit a pillow; find a friend or family to talk to; keep a journal; listen to music, etc.
If another person is causing your stress, remember the only one we can change is ourselves.
You might find it helpful to talk to a professional counselor or therapist to get support while you are going through this stressful time.

Everybody has stress in their life. Some people exercise or do yoga to relieve it. Some have sex , some overeat. some bottle it up and squash it down until it either erupts at someone who it should not be directed towards or it eats you from the inside out. Those people get stomach ulcers, nervous habits or depression. Those who learn how to channel it properly can be very productive and creative, but in the end most of us just just keep putting one foot in front of the other and doing the best we can .
