Hi, I was born with sickle cell trait and used to have severe flare ups of pain when i was younger (blood clotting/arthritic sort of pains), and my father would use a heating pad, ben-gay, or i'd take pain reliever medicine. Now that I'm older it hasn't affected me much anymore, in fact, it seemed to be gone for years. Just recently, as in the past few months, my right hand has been experiencing pain, sensitive to really cold or really hot temperatures. Everytime I take a hot shower, two of my fingers will stiffen up and will hurt extremely to move, and the only way to reverse it is if i use my other hand and let really cold water run over it for a little bit. Same thing happens if really cold water or air settles into that hand. Help! Is there anyone who has experienced this(because now it happens EVERYDAY)? Will taking Glucosamine help? Thanks for any responses!

Does any one out there know how to natural / organic way to subside / heal acid reflux heartburn. Already tried Nexium, Prilosec, Tums, Mylanta. I do eat relatively healthy. Not overweight. Trying to stay away from all these crazy medicines. If you do, you're a God send.

i hav a she is athletic and a really good runner, in track-and-field,
but she has asthma.

she is the fastest long distance runner [of the girls] in my class but i noticed that she seems to breath harder then most people after 200 yards and her face gets a bit red.
when she is done running she usually the one who breaths the hardest [as in lik i can hear her from a feet or two] and her face get red. but after a lil while she get bac to normal and has her normal strength bac, but she has a lil bit trouble breathin 'normally'

is this good for her health to continue running in track-and-field? im just worried bout her...

I won't go into details. Lets just say I was one of many children facing everyday abuse growing up. I was taking this abuse, and at the same time, everyone was setting such a high standard for me. It has caused me problems as an adult. Problems in the way I relate to others. I am a hard worker. Every job I have had I gave it all I had. And many times my co workers didn't like me. Alot of them treated me like; "What is this guy trying to prove?" I've lost jobs because I would literally go off! But I could not figure out how people could dislike a hard working person. Was it because I didn't talk much? Hard work helps to ease stress. I enjoy physical labor. But I literally hate it when people do everything in their power to destroy your opportunities. I want to think its just me! Its just the way I handle myself. But all I want is to be successful in everything I do. I'm not a jealous person. Happy people make me happy. I don't understand how someone can hate me! What am I doing wrong?

About three inches above the end of my right collar bone, I've been feeling a throbbing pain in my neck. Its only been on-again, off-again pain for the past few hours. Its not particularity excruciating, just hurts a little and its more annoying than anything. I've been very, very stressed all week long with barely any sleep because of the schoolwork I had to do this week. Is it stress related, maybe?

Okay, so i want to loose five pounds, but at the same time i don't, i just want to firm up and loose fat from my thighs. i don't know if running/jogging/walking is a good idea because i live in a creepy neighborhood and no one ever wants to walk with me anywhere and my family doesn't own a treadmill, so i need something that's fun to do, i've considered biking already but i don't have a bike. so plz someone suggest something fun.

Kinda new to the whole diet thing. I know those foods are all healthier than a lot of stuff but are they bad for diets because of the amount of natural sugars?

My mum is 44, she didn't have her period for about 3 months. She finally started, then she got an ultra sound, they said her ovaries look fine, but when they looked inside her uterus with a ultra sound camera, they said it was inflamed & they couldn't diagnose it, they asked her to leave the hospital & the doctor will call. Also, her uterus is also swollen.

P.S. We live STRESSFUL lives, but this has never happened before, the types of cancer that has run in the family are Heart Canver, Lung Cancer, & Colon cancer.

PLEASE HELP

I have this um... "thing" on my rear end, I think it's some kind of cyst, and it's growing directly on my tailbone. It's excruciatingly painful to sit on, and it's slightly inflamed as well.
I'm sort of too shy to tell my parents, and I DEFFINATELY don't want to have a doctor look at it. (Too modest.)

Do you have any information on this kind of skin abnormality?
If so, is there any way that I can treat it myself?

Well, I really want to sometime in my life and my school is having a blood drive. I'm 17 years old, vegitarian (but I get plenty of iron), and I HATE needles/blood =[ I mean I really want to because it's a good cause, but I usually either pass out or get light headed and shake whenever I get blood drawn, and it even happened when I got my flu shot! Shouls I wait a while to donate? Cuz I'm pretty nervous =[

I have to get 4 teeth removed in a few days - 2 wisdom/2 molars. The dentist gave me Amoxicillan for an infection (3 per day). So far I have taken ten of those, I'm not sure how the infection is coming along, but what I DO know is that I still have IMMENSE pain at times, lasting anywhere from ten minutes to a half hour. Throbbing, at times I almost feel like screaming out loud, and I am a person that can take a good amount of pain. I called the dentist back today and told him about the pain, in which he said that the pain should subside with the clearing up of the infection, and he also prescribed Tylenol 4 with Codeine for me. But still at times the pain is so severe, I cannot lay down to sleep, I must sleep in a chair. The wisdom teeth and molars to be removed are cracked, and have holes in them too - some of the holes feel very deep. I wonder if I could have Dry Socket even though I have not had the teeth removed? I cannot imagine Dry Socket being any more painful than this.

When we started going out 2 years ago she was a healthy and good looking 120 pounds....but over time she has gained weight. I'm not sure how much she weighs but she is definitely around like 180 pounds now....she stopped working out, and she just eats whatever now. We don't live together or anything, but we've been going out for 2 years, and I love her a lot but cannot see myself marrying her....I know it sounds bad, but I take such good care of myself physically, and I eat well.....I don't understand what happened to her? What should I do? I'm not that physically attracted to her as much as I used to be....I stopped having sex as often....
