You really should first try to find out the source of your heartburn.

Your body may be reacting to certain foods you should be avoiding, or it may be a result of poor digestion from inadequate bile flow.

Some people experience heartburn from not having enough hydrochloric acid in the stomach, which is needed for the proper breakdown of food. The result is a different kind of acid that forms when food sits there, undigested for long periods of time. If this is the case, taking antacids will only worsen the situation.

I realize that finding the cause may take some time.

So, for the best 'quick' relief, nothing can even come close to powdered Slippery Elm bark. This is what I use myself, and what I suggest to all of my friends, family, and clients.

Just mix a tbsp, or more into a small cup of water, and within seconds of drinking this, the heartburn is gone. It is completely safe, even at high doses, and prolonged usage.

It is very soothing, and healing to the mucous lining of the entire intestinal tract, and is superb even in extreme cases of Hiatal hernia, gastritis, and ulcers as well.

Chronic heartburn is usually from acid reflux - stomach acid is getting past the little valve and into your esophagus. You also should know some natural ways to treat your heartburn. Learn them here https://bitly.im/aMGd6

The most immediate thing you can do is to stop drinking coffee and cola. Smoking is not good either, but that might be harder to stop. Don't over-eat. Don't lie down too soon after eating. Don't burp too much - this carries acid up with the burp.

heartburn the most common symptom of acid reflux disease (also known as gastroespohageal reflux disease, or GERD). Heartburn feels like a burning pain in the center of the chest. It is caused by acid from the stomach backing up into the esophagus. is a symptom of acid reflux disease (GERD) Also known as Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease

Quick Action Plan for Preventing and Treating Heartburn (Acid Reflux of GERD)
.

1. Conventional physicians recommend over-the-counter antacid medications for heartburn. Although these drugs can provide temporary relief, long-term use may be harmful, as they reduce the amount of stomach acids necessary for proper digestion and assimilation of food.

2. Screen for food allergies, which contribute to poor digestion, thus leading to heartburn. Avoid the following: foods you are allergic to, eating too many different types of foods at the same meal, drinking excess fluids during the meal, wolfing down food, or eating under stress.

3. Avoid overeating, do not eat acid forming foods, commercially-processed foods, overly spicy foods, refined sugars and carbohydrates, hydrogenated fats or oils, coffee, chocolate, sodas, excess alcohol, orange and grapefruit juice, tomato products, pasteurized milk or dairy products, and foods containing peppermint and spearmint.

4. Eat an organic whole foods diet, full of organic fresh green vegetables and green vegetable juices, especially freshly-made cucumber juice, which can provide instant relief. Free-range organic meats and poultry, and wild-caught fish are recommended. Drink plenty of pure, filtered water throughout the day.

please, try this- I swear by it. Simply eat some raw celery. It works really well, and everyone I have shared this with agrees. Celery is very alkaline and will stop your heartburn/reflux quickly, gently, naturally, cheaply, and with NO side effects. Do a search for "celery heartburn" and see what you find. Seriously, it works very well.

actually, apple cider vinegar is very good for heartburn. a spoon full in a glass of warm water does the trick every time. get the organic unfiltered kind.

other than that. the very best thing for digestive issues is Aloe Vera juice. make sure you buy a very good quality brand from a reputable source and make sure it is fresh. alternatively, keep an aloe plant in the house and mix about an inch of the fleshy pulp from the leaves with your favorite juice.

yogurt andmilk
really changing your diet is the best alternative way.
No beer, no fatty foods, no salty or greasy or spicy foods for a long time.
Also try and find something about "acidic foods" and read about it, it helped me a lot, I used to have them every night! so I feel for you, but thankfully after reading and applying the acid food for 2 montsh I havent had one in like a year! yay
