About three inches above the end of my right collar bone, I've been feeling a throbbing pain in my neck. Its only been on-again, off-again pain for the past few hours. Its not particularity excruciating, just hurts a little and its more annoying than anything. I've been very, very stressed all week long with barely any sleep because of the schoolwork I had to do this week. Is it stress related, maybe?

It sounds like you need to fix the ergonomics part of your daily life.
- Remember to sit up straight while working at your desk
- keep your face level when walking
- sleep on your back with your neck horizontal

Your problem could have been caused by sleep on your stomach or on your side with a blanket/pillow pushed against your neck.

This almost sounds like a tendinitis or a muscle problem. Try heat or even cold, Ibuprofen. If it continues then see your doctor for a cervical spine check up.
Sometimes a shot of cortosone in here helps.

Likely a muscle spasm of SCM or scalene muscles. If you sleep on your stomach, then stop as this will make it worse.
