The other day my boyfriend got a 2cm laceration on his upper lip and received stitches at the ER, today the stitches are noticeably looser. Is this okay or should we go back to the Doctor? Thank you for your time.

I know that it is different for everyone but still... My friend told me that she stepped on a nail so she got a big fat needle into her arm.
And it was sore and stiff fore two weeks. But I'm just getting mine out of the blue so it may be different. And I know I'm not going to make the same mistake as her not working it and what not. And my other friend David told me that he almost fainted from the pain. I wanna know your story and what it felt like!

I have had surgery on right heel, now in physical therapy. My left knee needs surgery that will be 4-6 months heeling process. A Lot of pain. I am willing to travel for a pain specialist and I have the best doctor willing to give me a referral .Please, if someone knows of what I can do, let me know. i had my eye exam yesterday, and i'm going back today to get my glasses. i was just going to wear them all the time, but my dad said for the first few weeks only wear them an hour a day and gradually increase it until i can wear them all day every day. has anybody got any tips for getting used to glasses?? also the glasses are quite strong magnification so would it take longer to get used to them?? and tips will be much appreciated

I start dieting and exercising 2 weeks ago. I try so hard do it, I maintain my diet ( 3 cups of rice and 12 pcs of plain crackers plenty of water and fruits ) and I work out so hard on exercise 15 min a day.
But im not loosing weight, its been 2 weeks and looks like im gaining instead of loosing.im the only in only one fat in my family. Is there somthing wrong wirth me.
Im 25 yrs old, 58 kilos and 5"2 in height.
I m feeling frustrated what shall i do, i relly want and need to loose weight.

my last period was on 30th October....and on 25th November, i had intercourse with my bf....when he inserted his penis towards mine, he pulled out and he said there was some sperms there...and he wiped it away then he inserted me once again..

I've been really depressed lately and I want to seek help from a doctor who I can talk out my problems with once a week or so and could also prescribe anti-depressants if needed. Which doctor do I need then? A psychiatrist, therapist or psychologist? Or is sometime different? Also, how would I go about finding a good one?

Ok, so I've missed two days of school, and I honestly don't feel well. I feel really weak, I get spells of nausea and dizzyness, my throat hurts and is dry, and I occasionally have coughing fits.

She thinks I'll be really stressed out if I miss another day of school since this is a busy time of year, but I don't think I should go to school tomorrow.

I'm only on the computer so I can figure out if I should tell her I seriously shouldn't go or if I should just try and make it through the week.

so i've been on loestrin for about 5 months now and never had any spotting or anything.. in fact i've been very happy with this pill.. however just this past week i had some spotting that was pretty heavy and it lasted for about 5 days. i'm in the middle of my pack and have never had this happen before with this medication. i was wondering if this was normal, what caused it and if there might be a possibility that i am pregnant? i haven't missed any pills so i'm really not sure what's going on. help?

At times,.sometimes most the time, I get these images of what could happen to my kids, like really bad images of "what ifs". I find myself worrying so much now, specially for my 2 year old son. I seem to be geting paranoid for the well being of my kids, at times I play scenarios in my head , like vehicle accidents and such when I'm drving, or even at home, little freak accidents. Sometimes I think I'm too carefull, a worry wort. IS this normal for a guy? A father?

Okay...I'm going to try to ask this question again since some people didn't really understand what I was asking.

I just had my son 3 weeks ago and in about a month I'm going to meet with my doctor and we are going to discuss things. I want to talk him about Mirena, the intrauterine contraceptive that the doctor puts into place.

Now, I'm looking for people who have had personal experience with Mirena to answer this question. Or just someone that knows information about it. Don't tell me to go to Planned Parenthood either. I'm 2 hours away from home because my son is in the NICU and finding a PP facility is the last thing I want to do in the big city of Chicago.

1. Can Mirena be used while breastfeeding?

2. Is there any discomfort with using Mirena?

3. What was your experience with Mirena: How long have you been on it? Did it give you shorter/lighter periods, etc?

I had a baby almost 10 months ago and i noticed the day i came home from the hospital that i couldnt lay on my tummy to long because it would get sore, i thought that it was because i just had a baby and didnt think anything of it, but today, i layed on my tummy when i was playing with my little girl and withing 10 mins my tummy started hurting. Its around the belly butten area, a little bit higher and to the left. I was wondering if this could be something from being pregnant or child birth or what, i didnt have this before. When i seen my OB/GYN at my post pard check up i was talking to her aboutmy tummy being miss shaped, she was feeling around and said that she isnt for sure, but it looks like my muscles were torn in my tummy when i got pregnant, because i got so big so fast at the end. So could it be from that? Anyone experience anything like this before. I dont have any problems with eating or digesting food.

My family is worried about my 11 year old sister. At home, she will never volunteer to help (we have a big family, 4 kids, 1 is 15, she's 11, twins which are 4) or help when we ask her (sometimes she'll just say "NO" and storm off), she says hateful and rude things for no reason, complains a lot, hides up in her room with her iPod or computer all the time, her moods are VERY touchy and often unreasonable, and she seems to have absolutely no empathy for anyone in our family.

However, at school her teachers rave about her. They say she's very smart, helpful, friendly, kind, and a great leader. She has lots of friends. (She does tend to be very over dramatic though, and seems to think she's much much older than she really is.)

We can't figure it out! We have a good family. Nothing has worked to change her home attitude. Could she have some type of disorder? Help!!!
