Ok, so I've missed two days of school, and I honestly don't feel well. I feel really weak, I get spells of nausea and dizzyness, my throat hurts and is dry, and I occasionally have coughing fits.
She thinks I'll be really stressed out if I miss another day of school since this is a busy time of year, but I don't think I should go to school tomorrow.
I'm only on the computer so I can figure out if I should tell her I seriously shouldn't go or if I should just try and make it through the week.
Help!

We have a doctor appointment next week (earliest they could do) because apparently I might have stomach ulcers.

she's just worried about you, its not a case of being unfair. Think what awful things could happen to you, and how far she would be away from helping you if something bad happened. What if someone let you down and left you at the cinema? Or there was some trouble on the bus and you got hurt, she wouldnt know because she wouldnt see you, you're going to be away all night. Also no matter how much she trusts you, there is just so much trouble you can get up to with that much time to do it in! See if you can arrange something that will make her feel better, like arrange to call her from your friends when you get back there, or something. And tell her you understand her, it will make it much more likely she will let you go if she doesnt feel like you're being a rebel!

Maybe mom thinks your faking or not as sick as you really feel. Tell her you'd like to go see that doctor to figure out what's wrong with you-that would console her feelings of 'misunderstanding' the severity of your illness. Maybe you just have a flu-type symptom, a bit of antibiotics may help--something simple, but at least mom will feel better, which makes you feel better. If you're good in school, you'll catch up. Also, tell mom that you'll get homework you miss to catch up from teacher or co-student so she doesnt worry about that.

I wouldn't say you should go tomorrow. Be sure to drink lots of fluids tonight and tomorrow to help yourself avoid dehydration, and eat soft food, and bland food. During the daytime we feel better than we do in the morning and evening, so it's easy to think we are doing better than we really are doing. The problem with feeling better in the afternoon is that we may do too much, and feel much worse that evening, or make ourselves sicker, longer.
If your mom wants you to go to school tomorrow, see how you do. If you are not doing too well, go to the nurse's office and lay down for a while. You might start feeling better, and bored, and be ready for your next class. Just don't exert yourself a lot, especially in gym class. Have your mom write a note for gym.

It depends on what grade you're in.
Typically, around this time of year, there are a lot of finals and a lot of material to cover. I can see why she's worried. When I was in high school, I missed a week of school due to an upper respiratory infection. When I went back to school, I was overwhelmed with what I had to get completed in such a short amount of time.

In the real world, unless it's a true emergency, you don't get to stay home when you're sick. If you do, you don't get paid and thus you don't eat and you don't pay your bills.
If you really are that sick, talk to your mom. If not, try to tough it out. In the long run, it will make you a stronger person.
Oh, and be sure to thank your mom - whether you agree with her or not, you're lucky to have a mother who cares - not evryone does!

i was hospitalized for a week, went back for a day, and missed today, my mom and i havent decided weather or not im going tomorrow. probably not. i have to take a breathing machine every 4-6 hours.
you should maybe TRY and go to school and if your not feeling good go home, maybe you can make a deal like that with your mom.
or try waking up late then going to school late?
personally if i were you i would try and stay home but if she wont let you then try making a deal with her like if your not feeling good then go home.
technicaly if your temp is 99+ then the nurse will have to keep you in her office till your mom gets there. idk if its a schoolboard rule or a law but every school ive gone to [alot in different school boards and states] has had this rule.

Well, you can be sick at home or sick at school. Unless it is unbearable you should go. It's hard to catch up once you fall behind.
At least give it a try, and if you can't make it, then at least she'll see that you made an attempt.

Have you explained this to her? If you have, maybe you should see a doctor because there could be some medicine to help stop you feeling like this. Thats all the advice I can give, but I hope i helped.
