i just found out i had genital herpes. my doctor said its my first outbreak cause she took my blood and i guess is able to tell if its a reccuring outbreak or new. Whatever, she said one came back pos. and the other neg. wich ment that it was my first outbreak. She says that the first outbreak occurs 2-5 weeks after contact with the virus, i asked her if i could have had it dorment for years she said no because this is my only outbreak. we have been together for four years, he was blood tested and it was neg. for herpes.. so tell me... how did i get it sexually? i know of a child at my daycare i work at who gets cold sores on his lips, he is a biter so i am constantly putting my hands on his mouth to stop him from biting. is there a chance i could have forgotten to wash my hands and then went to the bathroom and wiped... could that have been passed?

I am a 17 year old girl and since I was about 12 I have had those spells where I stand up too quickly and kind of momentarily blackout. I understand why these happen.
However, this past year I have been having different but similar spells. I will stand up quickly, and make it about 10 steps. At this point I will receive the usual blackout but my head will also start to convulse. It will move forward and backward. I will usually also fall painfully, normally into a wall. All in all I'd guess this episode lasts about 3 to 8 seconds. I also find myself thinking inexplicably about a random object or task. Like a deck of cards. Or brushing my teeth. Even if these things had nothing to do with my prior thoughts.
I do have SLIGHTLY low blood pressure, but nothing notable. I eat pretty well and I am very athletic. This is probably nothing but the head shaking and falling worries me. Has anyone experienced the same feeling? Should I just write this off as a drop in blood pressure? Or is it something more serious? Thank you.

I know everyone has their own preferences, but I want to know which brand is really better.
I'm looking at Durex, Trojan and Kimono. Price doesn't matter as long as they have a very low breaking rate and it's something we both can enjoy.

Please tell me the pros and cons to these brands. (Sources appreciated if possible)

Okay..I eat quite alot of unhealthy food - like food high in sugar, fat and salt (pizza, fried chicken, etc), and I get little or no exercise, plus I drink Coca-Cola like everyday. I am not overweight because the medicine I take for ADHD (concerta) reduces my appetite. Oh, and I'm 17.
Am I putting myself at risk of heart disease?

I am getting randomly drug tested by my parents and i was wondering if i was to get one of my buddies piss thats clean if i just store it some were can i still use it for a test say like a month later or how long does it last. if it helps they r using one of those at home ones so its not like a real analysis and i no its suppose to smell bad when its old but i dont really care about that and if it gets to dark i can just lighten it up with some water

I have had low back pain ever since I had my son 13 months ago. It hurts 90% of the day and about 40% of the day it is scale 10 pain. I am only 26 years old. My dr just gives me pain med and tells me to go see a chiropractor or a physical therapist. I seen a therapist and got a 400$ bill for 1 day I never went back. I seen a chiropractor about 5 times and my pain was at a scale 10 all day long. So I stopped. One dr did 1 xray and seen nothing. They are now starting to treat me like a druggy and wont give me enough pain meds to get thru the month. What can I do???? The pain is in the lower back almost to the tailbone. It hurts mostly when standing in one spot or sitting to long. Upon waking it hurts so bad I cry for about 1 hour and walk all hunched over. After about 10 minutes of pain it moves to my hips and in the buttock area all over. It does not go down my legs. When this first started I felt numb in my finger tips. Every now and then I feel a sharp pain when I twist.

I had just been diagnosed with PID over 2 weeks ago. I started having sex after me and my husband were cured. But I still notice not pian, but sensitivity. Not pain, but sensitivity and I'm TERRIFIED that the antibiotics didn't cure it all the way evn though I took it all as I was supposed with total abstainance for the whole time. Is this normal?

I am in my late thirties. I have had an elevated ESR of around 60-65 for the past 4 years. On the doctor's advice, I have had all kinds of tests to ascertain the reason including endoscopy, colonoscopy, ultrasound, kidney tests, etc. All tests came back ok. I just get tired easily and often feel that my muscles and joints are sore. But other than this, I am generally healthy and have no health problems as such. It just bugs me that I have elevated ESR and nobody can tell me specifically why!

i have lazy eys and i am like 17 years old... and it sometimes wanders when i am looking at thngs for a lont time,but i can pull them straight back..i dont like to wear glasses thoe but not wearing them i feel uncomfortable my eye waters or get red.
is there anything i can do to strenghten my eyes? Does it sound severe
my doctor said it wasnt sever she said if it does get severe she ill put prisim in my eyes wtf?

Should my knee still be really painful and swollen still? and now it looks like my foot is starting to swell and it sort of feels like my knee is pinching inside... I have also noticed that my foot has to be turned outward otherwise if it is pointing straight like normal it feels like my leg is twisted and something is going to break. sometimes my knee doesnt hurt but then a few minutes later it hurts like crazy. What should I do is this normal or bad?

I've been in a relationship w/ a friend. He told me he loved me, but not like he should. He loves me w/ his head not his heart. Which makes him feel guilty. We've been friends for 10 yrs. He doesn't live here & he is suffering w/ depression. He told me that he is confused & that I am a big problem in his quandary. I asked why & he didn't answer. Just saying because & that thing are different between us. I told him that as a friend he should be able to confide in me. He just said everything is F**cked up, work, everything. He says I am his best friend, but he doesn't open up. I am concerned because he is not happy & very fragile. His depression is beginning to scare me. He said he thought about putting a bullet in his head. This is a person I want to remain in my life. I am looking for suggestions on how to help him. I know that I need to back off a romance, but I am afraid this will make him feel more like a failure which is one of his issues. I love him and don't know what to do

He went camping and slept in a hammock and sleepingbag. He got up at dawn, sat doen, and once he leaned over, hid uvula flipped on top of his tongue, and became stuck. When his friend looked, he said it looked like he had 2 very swollen tongues. I met him at the e.r., and the doctors didn't seem woried at all. They treated him for an allergic reaction, gave hima shot of pennicillin, and sent us home. What can cause this? He thinks that maybe his troat and such dried out severly, nd then became inflamed. I think that he may have inhaled something that eh is allergic to while alseep, however, he is 37, and this has never happened before. He also snores terribly. Can that have anything to do with it/ The e.r. did take a swb of the back of his throat, but they weren't expecting anything like strep. He told me that when it was at the biggest size, he couldn't inhale through his mouth, swallow or talk. Thank God his sinuses were fine, so he breathed through his nose. Help?

I have a feeling this is one of those because I changed my diet slightly. More fruits and veggies, less soda (I'm a Mt. Dew addict, so it was hard). Before I did, I have a sharp stabbing pain, that turned into an on-going (for 1 month now) dull, achy pain in my right and left abdomin. After I changed my diet, it slowly disappeared, but is still there on occassions. When I move for too long or too much, it starts to hurt. It's worse on my period. I've been constipated for awhile, but when I take M.O.M (milk of mag.), I get unconstipated, but it comes back (sometimes in diarrhea form). It tends to hurt under my right rib and worse when I eat foods (every food plus water). I have horrible nausea and never vomitted, but have been on the edge of it. Off and on headaches, weakness and fatigue. I don't think I left anything out. Ultra-Sound, Urine, and X-Ray's were fine. What do you think this is?

I'm 14 and I frcatured my ankle yesterday when I landed wrong on it while playing basketball. It hurt so bad It wouldn't stop hurting and I never thought a fractured ankle wouldhurt that bad, my arm didn't even hurt that bad when I broke it. . I have a long leg cast on but unfortunatly I have to use crutches. I will eventually get a short leg cast but for now I'm stuck on cructhes. None ofmy friends know that I hurt it because I have been busy getting used to the cast an crutches. Luckily they gave me a wheelchair to use but I want to use crutches to attract less attention. I'mkind of worried about what will happen at school. like what will people say and how will I get around. My parents are letting me ride the bus and I think that it's a good idea because that way atleast some kids will be able to see it before I get to school and I can see how they will react

I have a perscription of Singulair for indoor and outdoor allergies.. are there any medical professionals out there who know what medicines I cannot take with this regarding other allergies I might have?

Example would be allergies for eyes. When the wind is up my eyes hurt and burn, doctors have told me this could be an allergic reaction to whats in the air. If I take a medicine for this, would it interact okay with Singulair?
