i just found out i had genital herpes. my doctor said its my first outbreak cause she took my blood and i guess is able to tell if its a reccuring outbreak or new. Whatever, she said one came back pos. and the other neg. wich ment that it was my first outbreak. She says that the first outbreak occurs 2-5 weeks after contact with the virus, i asked her if i could have had it dorment for years she said no because this is my only outbreak. we have been together for four years, he was blood tested and it was neg. for herpes.. so tell me... how did i get it sexually? i know of a child at my daycare i work at who gets cold sores on his lips, he is a biter so i am constantly putting my hands on his mouth to stop him from biting. is there a chance i could have forgotten to wash my hands and then went to the bathroom and wiped... could that have been passed?

I found this info on this website. I think you could have gotten it from the kid. "One kind of complication involves spreading the virus from the location of an outbreak to other places on the body by touching the sore(s). The fingers, eyes, and other body areas can accidentally become infected in this way. Preventing self-infection is simple. Do not touch the area during an outbreak. If you do, wash your hands as soon as possible. The herpes virus is easily killed with soap and water."
Take lots of vitamins, valtrex and exercise. You can put it in remission-God bless.
Also, do ask to physically see that test. He could just be lying!

Herpes1 or herpes 2?
You probably had a swab taken that came back positive. If your blood test is negative then you just got it because your body hasn't developed antibodies yet.
Herpes 1 is usually found around or in the mouth although you can get it in the genital area, but that is uncommon. You can get herpes 1 by sharing a glass or fork with someone or kissing someone that has it. I suppose you could have contracted it the way you mentioned but it seems unlikely.
Herpes 2 is usually in the genital area. It usually requires skin to skin contact.
Are you sure your man is negative? How much do you trust him? Is he telling you the truth? If he just got it then he could have given it to you and still not tested positive because he has not developed antibodies yet.
If you think about it herpes is really nothing more than an annoying skin condition.

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video everything changed https://tr.im/curesherpes2015ZuGY
Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams. This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

I am absolutely terrified and I feel so alone. I just found out last week that I tested positive for hsv1 and 2. I have been with the same man for the past 10 years and within the last year found out that he has cheated on me with numerous women. I am so scared that I can give it to my children by kissing them and them eating with me...I feel like my whole life has changed. And even though the nurses, my doctor, and websites say that a lot of people have it I still feel like I am by myself. My self esteem has dropped and I feel like I have been used up. But now, My life is very happy.

IF I remember correctly the only way to contact genital herpes is to be infected with the area. If you have open sores or cuts you can be affected. Do you drink? Perhaps there was a night of fun that you have forgotten. This sounds really strange!

if it was from the kid id have the parents investigated. The "outbreak" would have shown up orally first, hand to mouth contact. But it's unlikely. Did you see his paperwork? The only way to get the virus is direct contact with the virus. There was a rumor years ago about getting it from toilet seats, not likely. Not all facilities test for warts and herpes.

There are 3 kinds of herpies. I just found out that i have have 2 of them today! The coldsore one layes dormant in your system for ever then you get an outbreak every now and then triggered by then from stress to chocolate to the sun. Then there is another one that I can't remeber the name of. but that one is often confused with shingles. and those are they two I have neither of which are extremly contagious. Unless you lick eat and swallow the coldsore it self.
But those are compleatly different strains of the virus all together and cold sore boy at your work could not have given you genital herpies. Public bathroom? or your not telling us something.
