Yaz is low hormone, and does help make periods shorter. But for bad acne, usually one of the higher hormone pills is prescribed (Ortho-tricyclene is a common one). However, for really bad acne it may not make a significant difference.

Yaz has 24 active pills, and only 4 inactive pills. This means shorter periods. Plus Yaz does help with acne.

I havent been on yaz but my doctor said that it would help with acne. Most birth control pills make your period shorter and lighter and and some help with acne also so its not just YAZ.

I would do some research and ask your doctor about other options. There are so many birth control options out there :)

It has been years since I was on the pill but it has been proven that the birth control pill does help acne.
