when the sin masturbates!

It depends. When the old testament was written, there were parts of it that were written like a survival manual for entire peoples. They were set down as religous laws so that people would listen to them and obey them. Some of the wise men might have noticed that if a man had sex with a woman who was having her period, fewer children were born from this coupling. So they made this a rule, and the punishment set down for breaking this rule was rather harsh, again, presumably to make the people obey it more readily.

Same thing applied to homosexuality, masturbation, and incest. All of these things would tend to reduce the number of sperm that was actively seeking an egg that would result in a healthy addition to the tribe, and so were outlawed and punishable.

So if you are devoutly religious, all masturbation is a sin. If you actually live with the rest of us in the twenty-first century, then you know that it is perhaps not such a horrible thing.

That's a matter for you church leader to explain. But in those religions that consider masturbation to be a sin, they usually consider it to be a sin always, at any age. However, please be aware that everyone masturbates regularly unless they're having sex with someone. So if it's a sin, everyone is going to Hell, so you won't be alone.

But really, those who think it's a sin are misinterpreting the Bible or at least the Old Testament. It's normal and healthy. Keep your door closed and enjoy it all you want.

Jajaja. From my point of view: it NEVER turns into a sin.

Sin is a subjective matter. Obviously, it depends on your education and on your believes; nevertheless, how coud I say that an enjoyable and pleasant activity is sin? I don´t think so.

Forget about your ideas and start using your hand (s).

I believe that masturbation becomes a sin when it takes away from you overall quality of life. The act itself is not sinful and is used to better understand ones sexuality. It is the over-indulgence of the act or the purpose behind it that makes it sinful. If you are pleasuring yourself because it feels good than there is nothing wrong it what you are doing but if you need erotic images to help you become aroused than it becomes sinful. If you casual perform the act every once in awhile than the act is o.k. but if you focus it everyday than it becomes a sin. An old saying that my mother told when when I was young was, "Enough is enough and too much is nasty," and I find that it applies to most things in our lives.

Well as a Minister here is what the truth is. If you know to do good and do it not to you it is a sin. When I do it I feel bad really really really bad. The bible says if you look on a woman to lust after her then its the same as if you have already did it in your heart. Lust is a sin. If it feels wrong to you don't do it try to fight it. Pray that God will give you the strenth to not do it. The bible also says to put aside the lust of your child hood so. There you go

Why don't you have good grammar?

Seriously, if you state it in that specific way, "sin" is a religious term, meaning that you're asking when masturbating becomes something bad to do, in religious terms. For that reason, masturbating is always bad because the bible says so.

Note that I'm not a religious person, and I don't believe in the bible's preaches that much.

It's not a sin but you need to make up your own mind on that. Nothing bad happens & you dont go to hell so keep that in mind as you soul search.

Masturbation is sinful by it's nature. When you masturbate, you fantasise about the people you really like. This is degrading to not only them but also to you. There is also a health issue, it's healthy to masturbate every once in a while to relieve sexual tension, masturbating too much can have a negative affect on your health.
