I am 15 and a junior in high school. after 8th grade i moved to a new town and went to a new school where i only knew 1 person. i quickly had 3 close friends. one of them is into sex and drugs now (she used to not be like that) and she transferred schools, the other ditched me for another group of friends, and the one i knew from before is still an o.k. friend.but at lunch she goes home alot so i am stuck in the library alll alone at lunch and so pretty much i am a loner. this really hurts; esp. b/c at my old school i had a ton of friends...what do i do? i always walk around school alone and feel so lonely..im really nice but quiet too.im not quiet around friends tho. im only quiet around people i don't know well so technically i am quiet all the time now. this really stresses me out how im a loner at school and has affected my health - i get really bad tension headaches now and today at my doctor for my physical he said my blood pressure and pulse were high...what do i do?

I've sprained my ankle about 14 times now, my recent sprain was yesterday from dancing, I landed on it full out angle of my foot. This is the worst sprain in my life. Pain, swelling, etc.
Problem is...I think it's broken? I don't really wanna get an X-Ray done cause it takes too much time. Every time I walk I get pain through my ankle, but today it's a little better, however the swelling doesn't seem to go down that much even if I ice it a lot. About 3-4 sprains ago I noticed my right ankle is impermanently 3-5x bigger then my left since I sprain it so much. I don't know if it's broken or sprained this time?

-The area between my shin and toes is a little swollen too
-My swollen ankle barely go's down from ice, or doesn't even.
-I have some black/purple bruising on my ankle
-Sprained it 14x (Including this one if it's a sprain.)
-Right ankle is permanently bigger then left 3-5x bigger
-Twisted left ankle once.

My daughter started taking Ritalin for ADHD two years ago, and seeing a psychiatrist regularly. Since then, she's become irritable, suspicious, dumped her boyfriend who loves her, continually angry with me, and blames me for all kinds of problems she doesn't even have! She's 26 and lives 3,000 miles away so I have little oppportunity to do anything to correct this. She doesn't even communicate any longer except for occasional long angry emails, and won't answer the phone when I call her.

She used to be a sweet (if slightly ditzy) wonderful girl whom I always treated as if she were a little angel. You could say she was spoiled because she got anything she wanted, but she never behaved badly at all and never asked for very much. She was and is beautiful, an outstanding student and athlete.

Is this common? Should I just go away because I didn't get her medicated sooner or let her run the streets like she says I should have?

I have been real thin most of my life. And I have been giving a lot of thought about using steroids. So here of a few things I'd like to know. Are steroids legal? I don't mean supplements that people try to sell you, you know the advertisements. I mean true blue steroids. Do they really shrink your testicles? Are steroids safe? If I took them, would I have to work out all the time for them to have any affect? I'm not a big weight lifter now, I do run a lot, but thats about it, so would that be a problem? I don't know, I just picture steroids as this miracle pill/shot where you take it every day and your muscle mass increases magically on it's own, and I don't believe that to be true. So if you could help clear up misconceptions and facts that be really helpful, because I'm completely ignorant on the subject.

I had three surgeries for a staph infection already and found out that the cultures they did afterwards came back the same meaning I still have a staph infection in my leg. It is still stitched up...about 6 inches long. Will this go away on its own or what will they do now? It's stapholococcus aureus!

I was hammering in some nails today, when I missed, and hit my thumb. I was way off, and hit the bone that connects my thumb to my hand.

It is swelling, and hurts when I move it. Do you think I broke/fractured it? If it isn't a break or fracture, what else could it be?

Thanks

I'm afraid of the dark, and I've heard that some people my age might be afraid rapists and murderers, but it's just that when I'm alone in the dark, like if I'm walking up the stairs alone at night, a sudden sense of panic will come over me and I'll run as fast as I can for the nearest light switch.

I have had swollen lymph nodes for 2 yrs. now. Just had a bad flare up where they became painful, but pain has subsided. ENT has suggested removal of the lymph node and testing. MRI showed 9 inflamed nodes, but I consistently feel one always under right side of jaw/neck. I feel pressure many times when I bend over. Dr. says no blood test or biopsy would help only removal and testing of the node. Will all the nodes carry the same result? PLEASE HELP!
