hun, accidents happen. if anything, youll get to leave classes early to get to classes later, and you can choose one friend each time to carry your crap and open doors for you- maybe theyll let you use the elevator. lol
dont worry about it. seriously. there are worse things. just act like 'whateber' and when you see your friends at school, the minute you make eye contact, just smile, and say 'so guess what happened yesterday after i landed a jump shot?' and 'yeah- i spent the whole night in the er- but the cutest guy was my doctor' ;) lol
just stay smiling, esp for the first day and everyone will feel comfortable around you which will make you feel comfortable with what happened.
good luck hunny and dont sweat the small stuff. a broken bone is a broken bone. dont let it get to you anymore than it already has. go get some sleep and have a great day tomorrow.
also the reason why it hurt so bad probably is due to a number of things including the severity of the fracture, and its also a fracture on bones you use every day of your life to support your entire body. breaking that bone sends a message to your brain who flips out and tries to fix it, itself but only cause more stuff to happen- like swelling, tenderness/pain, tingling, bruising, etc. so yeah. fyi for ya

I was on crutches for three months. I just showed up Monday morning and everyone was pretty shocked. Don't worry about people making fun of you, because they won't. (I'm also 14) Everyone will want to help you out and would be more than willing to assist you. After awhile they will get used to it. Until they do, you are going to be explaining what happened to you ALOT :) As for getting around, people will DEFINATELY let you through when they see your crutches and hold doors open and stuff like that. Hope you get better soon.

It's gonna be alright. If anything, people are probably gonna be more willing to help you. Have your friends sign it. Make it cool. That's what I did. Kids are into that for some reason. Remember to keep it elevated so it won't hurt as much.

most people are gonna think it is really cool...use the crutches or the wheelchair...whichever relaxes you more and causes less pain

once you get over the initial swelling, all you have to deal with is the itches.
oh yeah, the itching will drive you nuts...other than that, everything else is easy to deal with...
