He's been actively seeking a job for 8 months. Believe it or not, his education is working against him. He is brilliant and he majored in Philosophy. No employer is looking for that degree, so he has been applying for even entry -level jobs. Those employers ask "Whta's a guy with your education doing applying for a job like this?" And they don't hire him. I'm so heart-broken and he is even more so. He's spending a lot of time in bed in between job interviews. Our kids miss their Dad... I work full time and we homeschool our 3 kids. What can I do?

Has anyone had this similar problem? i have been in pain for 1 yr now without any external symptoms.the pain shoots up to my hip joint and to the feet.any info will help me find solution for my persistant pain. any doctors response will be very helpful.

I had my upper left wisdom extracted 8 days ago. The past few days I have felt like something is in my throat, on the side of my throat that is the same side I had the wisdom tooth pulled. It's not sore, but I feel something there and it's very annoying. Today I looked in my throat with a flashlight and saw a white patch on the same side of the wisdom tooth I had extracted. I am going to the oral surgeon tomorrow anyway for a recheck to see how I am healing and will show it to him, but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this or know what it is?

The past 2 days, I've been having like a burning thing happen when I pee, Ive have an infection before, and Im pretty sure thats what it is, cause I can usually only pee a little bit, but either way at the end, it burns a little. and today, when I wiped, I noticed, what looked like blood. Im a little scared, I just got into a relationship, and had sex for the first time with him last night, so maybe that could be the cause of the blood or whatever it is.. I just dont know, and its kind of freaking me out.

I am medicated and have been off and on for years! when i am up life is so great when i'm down I can't leave my bedroom I hate it when people see me like this! So i dont go out. I dont know what sets me off or why ...my life is as good as its ever been. the only problems I have r my own fault . I have nothin to be upset about! Why am i like this and what can i do about it?

If you know about anti-depression meds or have taken them before maybe you could help answer this questions.

In anyones opinion. I have 3 questions below...

I'll say this again, "opinion" about the medications below, so please no people, talking about "getting high" on the drugs -OR- saying go talk to your doctor, I have talked and I have a bunch of doctors.

Does that make them a bad person? Well not those illnesses that causes people to murder stalk and rape others. It's the illnesses like bipolar, anxiety, and depression. If someone has any of that does that make someone a bad person?

I have a presentation, and I get so nervous when I have to talk in front of a class...my heart starts pounding, my palms get sweaty, my voice shakes..I HATE IT!! Do you have this too?? Have you overcome your fear??? If so, what are your techniques???

I just had a back molar extracted today. It was complicated and he told me it was going to be a lot of pressure. He ended up having to put in a stitch or two. My problem lies in the fact that this was like 12 hours ago and I am still swollen and sore. A month ago I had two pulled on the other side and didn't really have any pain. I am also unsure about the stitch and where it is. I am not sure if it is near the next tooth or further back and I don't wanna mess with anything and lose the stitch. Any opinions on this and how long the pain will last.

ok well im 15 years old and about 3 weeks ago i got a bad headache,,witch worried me b/c i never get headaches soon after that my body started twitching jerking jumping all of it mainly my neck legs arms and sometimes my whole body just jumps the headache went away only to leave me with a stiff neck my mom tookl= me to a nerouoligist..witch told me that i seemd normal only b/c he could not see the jerking he said just incase he will send me for a eeg and a cat scan but i cant get them done now due to money issues with our insurance..im very worried what this might be,,,ther jerking is bothering me when i try to sleep it feels like they cant stop i feel like i have to keep moving to make sure no one else sees them..i feel like im biteing down on my teeth to hard...i have dzzyness..and a whole range of stramge symtoms..im scared im dyeing..please someone tell me what this could be..im not asking for a dignosis only for some imput..sorry for the spelling

Hi. For the last few days I have had this achy feeling in my uterus. My last period was September 4th so I doubt it is PMS just yet. And they usually only last 2 days. I have never felt this before. I doubt I am pregnant but what does conception feel like just a few days in? My son is 12 so I forget those early feelings! Thanks in advance for your help.

Let's assume that someone needs glasses but they haven't got them. They instead, just for fun, try on someone else's to see how glasses would look on them, instead they see their face all blemished, and when they take the glasses off, the blemishes are still a little visible but not as well. Is this how the person really looks?
*note that the glasses the person tries on is not the right prescription for them, it might be higher or lower.

My wife has symptoms of hyperthyroidism, symptoms such as hair loss, weight gain, tiredness etc. To this day all the labs are negative from her primary care doctor and OB/GYN. She is going to see an Endocrinologist and most likely he is going to order the same lab tests again for her. We have heard that even though the labs can come back normal for the THS, T3, T4 that you can still have a thyroid abnormallity. When she sees the doctor besides letting him know her symptoms and besides more lab work what else can she ask him as far as what can be done if the lab comes back normal again but the signs and symptoms are still there.What other tests are there? Does anyone know how it can really be detected?

ok so in school im getting 3 Cs and one F and progress reports are coming out soon and im gonna get in HUGE trouble. i dont have any good friends and the 2 best friends i have one of them i can talk to and he listens but he doesnt UNDERSTAND and the other one thinks my life revolves around her and is really selfish. i dont really see the point in living anymore but i mean i dont want to give up or die and i cant mope around because people think of me as a positive person and so i really need to get my life back on track. if you have any advice PLEASE HELP ME HERE!!!
