my mate has dermatisitis on her head and she often drags a nit comb through her hair to get the loose skin out of it,only thing is,she eats the dry flakes off the nit comb.when i tell her i saw her do it she said she wasnt eating the skin, she was licking the comb to wet it so that it grips the skin.i never see her shake or wipe the comb and its thick in flakes when she licks it.is she ill? what would you do?why does she do this?has anyone ever heard of this before?
i dont think there are nits just lots of dry flakes and some are as big as cornflakes so i would see them drop off the comb but she licks them off!!

So I met this guy I really like, and he recently confided that he has herpes. He controls it pretty well with Valtrex, but condoms are necessary, etc etc etc...

My question is this: Does anyone know how likely herpes transmition is if we use condoms every time, and he takes Valtrex every day (and obviously, no sex if he has an outbreak until it's over)? I have read that Valtrex reduces the transmition rate.

Has anyone had sex with an infected partner and not gotten the disease?

Serious answers only, please.

Is there anybody out there who has ovarian cancer or knows someone who's had it? I am really worried that I may have it and am waiting for an ultrasound. I've done lots of reading about it, but it's mostly textbook type stuff. I'm not looking for a list of symptoms really, but am wondering if anybody can tell me their own story about how they were diagnosed etc. I have been having a lot of severe pelvic pain along with bleeding and I know that I have what might be cysts in my ovaries, but I'm scared that they might be cancerous. Please somebody, if you can share with me I would be most grateful, thank you!!

I have a rather skinny frame (because i've never exercised my whole life)...and now i'd like to bulk up....i've been told to have protein bars or extra protein in my diet, but what I think I want to do is to build the best amount of muscle I can build on a normal regular diet. I say this because won't muscle disintergrate if I stop eating the extra protein?

last year I had heard about melatonin and cleared it with my doctor, she said I could take 3-6 mg daily to help with sleep. it helped tremendously. then about a month ago another physician who saw on my records that I was taking the melatonin said that the melatonin keeps you from making your own if you take it every day. so I stopped it, but I'm back to having trouble sleeping but I'm getting daily sleep - just not enough. I want to figure out as much as I can before I talk to my doctor again about it. any thoughts will be appreciated.

when I tried Valerian - it seemed to act more as a stimulant than something to relax me.

lavender does help some, but not enough really .

I probably should quit using the computer at night, big problem, but I live alone and I go to online grief chat things at night (my wife died)

I exercise quite a bit also.

They are a little crooked and pushed off to the right, so they aren't center. i'm eighteen and debating on getting braces but I feel weird and too old to get them. I'm going off to college with them so I don't know if I should get them now or not. I'm a little self conscious of them. But I also don't know if my family can afford college and getting me braces. Thanks for all the help.

I am 18. 5'11", 135lbs. I have been working out for almost 2 years, am not happy with results. gained 9 lbs. Here is what I started doing. (mon-legs, wed-chest, fri-arms. 3 sets each workout of 6 to 8 reps) Started doing a new workout about 6 months ago with better results (mon-legs, wed-chest. 4 sets each of 8 to 10 reps). I was eating 4,000 cal a day and just got fat. I think it is my workout thats the problem. I would like to look like a mix between T.O. (football guy) and Bruce Lee (ripped). Would like someone to tell me how many reps, sets ect. What I should eat? Dont feed me that protein crap we get plenty in our food. Would prefer someone who has been a former skinny guy who is an Ectomorph. Or someone who has worked with someone like me and got great results. Please post your credentials. I do have a Gym Membership. Can't afford a trainier. Dont trust them anyway because they are mostly all big guys who dont understand my situation. Am excited to hear your answers!

Is this a real condition?

I read up about it - and I am not at all convinced.
Anyone with deep interests or obsessions in something (like computers or music), and is a bit shy... seems to be open to this diagnoses..

I'm 26 and don't have any insurance. My entire life I've always had a yellow/green discharge (since i was around 10 probably) and dealt with it until beginning of this year when I realized something wasn't right. Having it from childhood it was "normal" to me until I got tired of dealing with it ruining my underwear! So I went to the clinic to get help. The 3 stupid gynos they have there (all women) have all told me different things and given me pretty much the same medications over and over again. 1) The first said it was Trichomoniasis and gave me Metronidazole (2 times a day 7 days) as well as Diflucan (1 pill) in case there was any yeast at all. Took them both and still had a thick white discharge and pastey odor, just wasn't yellow anymore. 2) Second visit they said maybe it wasn't enough, so gave me Metronidazole for another 7 days. 3) Third visit, gave it to me yet again (Metronidazole) only this time 4 pills to take at one time. 4) Fourth visit, the lady said I had a very very

I have been severely depressed for months. I got into an accident (driving alone and not my fault) and after the accident I sat outside my totaled car and didn't feel anything. I don't even know how I got out of the car. I think people were talking to me and I didn't say anything. All I can remember was how angry I was that I didn't die. Maybe it's the depression. I don't know. No one got hurt in the other car (thankfully). Why do I feel this way.
