I have PCOS and have been suffering with pain for about a week now. The pain is severe period pain type cramping but whats really really hurting me is the sharp pains shooting through my ovaries and radiating into my uterus, these are getting worse everyday.

I have taken codiene and its not even touching the pain. Its waking me and keeping me up at night and has me in tears - I feel sick and dizzy too. I dont know what to do as this pain is more severe than normal and completely unbearable - it may also be worth noting that I am not on my AF yet either.

Do you think I should go to A & E? I cannot take NSAID's as I am prone to stomach ulcers - these were the the only meds that even touched the pain.

Lately I have givin up on ever being better. I used to be able to put on make up on, take a pain pill and go out smiling. People I think are unawear of my health issues..
I can't even do that anymore.
I wonder if I will ever have over come deep depression along with health issues. Gosh-I feel like I am at the end of my life and I am not that old (57) I had a nasty divorce- and my youngest child died. I have mulitable health issues and to top that off everything seems to be going wrong..

Should I just give up and never hope to have energy again to be half way normal again??

Is it just me or when the pain is real bad it sometimes feel lik eits coming from the ovaries the vagina and the butt. Its is so sore. Is this common?

I rinse my mouth out once a day with hydrogen peroxide because it makes your teeth whiter. It is less expensive to use and it works. Would you say this is safe?

i need a doctor or clinic or somewhere that i can take my husband for a free or cheap doctors office. we dont' have insurance though. his knee is messed up and dont know what is wrong with it. could somewhere tell me how or where to start looking or what to look up. we live in anchorage, alaska.

What i mean - do they really think about what they are asking..
I am not talking about people who question lumps, biospies or like..
I am talking about those who Ask WHAT it is Like to have Cancer (like it is a fun day in the park) OR those who want to know what to do to Qualify to get cancer..

maybe i am being sensitive but i am finding there are some questions that make me think WHAT the??

Being the child of 2 parents who were diagnosed within a month of ea other is hard enough, and then to lose one parent in april this yr to the disease is another..
I ahve seen the impact it has had on both my parents (thro chemo and radio) and also them being told that there is NOTHING else they (the drs) can do..
I wonder do people really seriously think before placing fingers to keyboard and typing them..

I'm 3 days away from my 7 placebo pills, and I know I'm supposed to have my period while I'm on those.

I was wondering if the period usually starts the first day of the placebo pills, or later? And does it last all 7 days? That seems like a long time...

If you have experience with birth control pills...?
How long did you wait until you stopped using a backup method, the first time you went on the pill?

What body type are you? (overweight, average, or thin/underweight).

I'm asking because so many people have been saying that i should have waited 1 month before relying on birth control pills. But i waited 1 week, like the instructions said.
The body type might determine how long it took for the pill to regulate in your system .

Hello everyone. I am a 22 year old male.
I started masterbating when i was around 16 or so. at first i wasn't masterbating frequently but it gradually started to increase. Now, i masterbate around once a day, sometimes twice a day and sometimes once every couple of days.

My question is, does this rate of masterbation reduce sperm count or effect the sperms i guess effect? meaning that if i get married will my masterbation habits now effect the chances of my wife becoming pregnant or in other words making me sterile?
I would like anyones input on this, especially older people who've been in the same situation or any doctors.

Hi, How can I find a good chronic pain Doctor who will keep prescribing me my medicines that I am on. My doctor is leaving after 8 years and I am on a "good, working medication schedule" after many years of trying other things. We have found what works but now I need to find a new doctor who will prescribe me the same medications (narcotics & anxiety medications) within 30 days. I didnt get much notice so I need to move quick. I hate to go and see "20" (so to say) doctors for them to tell me that they cant prescribe them to me.
I live in Wisconsin & most doctors seem to be scared to prescribe narcotics even though I have been on them for years.
Shopping for a new doctor seems impossible in less then 30 days. How do I find a good one who will help me and keep me on the regimine that I have been on for 6 years?

I know I can go to a pain clinic for my pain but for my anxiety the way I am understanding it, I would have to find another doctor. I am used to just one. Thanks

Ok so today I had this excruciating pain towards the left side of my upper ribs. It was sooo bad. I was crying and it hurt to breathe in and walk. It wasn't under the ribs and I'm pretty sure it was in the abdomen. It was also really bloated. I got my friend to touch it and she said it seemed swollen almost like there was a massive lump.
The pain has sort of gone now.
What do you think is happening to me??

Ok, so im supposed to have my period around this time (well last week actually) but I never got it. The last time I got it was in the first week of august!! Is this normal? hey..

For the last 8 years I have been on and off depressed, more so due to the fact that I am very shy and find it hard to meet people or discuss my feelings with my close friends. I seem to lock everybody out of my world; I would say I am a definite introvert. However, lately, I thought I was getting better... I felt very upbeat a lot of the times, and felt like I was finally starting to be able to achieve more out of my daily life... that lasted about a week and a half. I don't feel as depressed right now as I used to be, but I feel down.. and not really for any specific reason. I don't know if I have some sort of bi polar disorder, or if everything just stems from being debilitating shy and wishing I could be like normal people. I've been dealing with this on my own for a long time, occasionally letting one of my closest friends in on some of my thoughts, yet the suggestions he gives, albeit excellent, I cannot bring myself to follow, or even see myself doing.

I had a general anaesthetic on Tuesday to have a wisdom tooth removed and I still feel awful.
I have no appetite,I feel sick and all I want to do is sleep.
Someone told me that the general can continue to affect you for a few days after your op-does anyone know?
