does anyone else ever get panicky when they can't sleep? well actually I'm still on summer break, so I guess it doesn't matter that much...it's not like I have anything to do today anyways. but still, I'm starting to panic...I don't think I'll sleep at all tonight, I'm not tired at all

Serious question, so please, no smutty or childish answers.
My wife used to have loads of interests and was quite an active person.
Now she seems to have lost all interest in life, and is content to get out of bed at lunchtime, and sit in front of the telly all day with the curtains closed until it's bedtime again. Never going anywhere and never meeting anyone.
She's got a disability, but it doesn't impair her physical ablity to do things for herself. She just chooses not to bother.
The situation I'm trying to help her with seems more to be a general umbrella of lethargy and apathy, possibly bordering on depression.
I so desperately want to help her, but she doesn't seem to see this as a problem.
How can I get her motivated so that she wants to pull herself out of this downwardly spiralling rut that she's found herself in?

I am pregnant & suffering terribly with constipation. It has been about 5 days or so & on my doctors advice, I have taken Metamucil Fibrecaps & also have been drinking LITRES of water. I have an extermely sensitive palate & most greens make me gag (Always have, always will).
My question is (Excuse me for being so graphic!!!) is that my stool is actually right in my anus like when I wipe I get a bit on the toilet paper... But it is soooo painful to push & I am scared to death of pushing. It is giving me the shakes & making me dizzy. It is also affecting the way I urinate like I can't get all the urine out. Will this Metamucil ever work when the stool is obviously so far down? (If that makes sense... like it is obviously not in my bowels)
Please Help!! I'm beginning to think I will never be able to go again!!!!!!

Let me give you a brief medical history first. I am 17.
I have chronic sinusitis and have been known to suffer from migraine headaches. When I was eleven I had this really bad headache almost every day where my brain literally felt numb. We had a CT scan done and I was diagnosed with sinusitis. Last year I started seeing black spots, zig zaggy lights and pain... I was diagnosed with Migraines with an aura.
Everything has been fine until three days ago, I was talking to my friend and I got this sharp, throbbing pain on one side of my head that lasted for about six seconds then everything was back to normal. It didn't happen again to the other day and it was so bad I had to stop walking but it was gone before it really began. In the three days these sudden, painful then gone headaches have happen maybe 8 times, latest being when I got out of bed to brush my teeth this morning. What could it be?

I felt a lump on my nads, I think It might be cancer, I did an inter net search, all the results were the same, Testicular cancer. I thought I might be able to cut it out myself, If I numb it real good, or i can just let it go and see if it hurts, or if it spreads. If it does spread then I can take other action( you know). I really like to get it taken care of, but I have no insurace to cover the cost, which I believe to be anywhere from $50,000 to $200,000. I don't have that kind of money. that's the way the dice roll I guess. I even called cancer treatment centers of america, I told them I have no insurance and they hung up on me, hmmm. power of the dollar. what should I do, and is dying of this to painful, I have no insurance, so that means no pain killers, and I don't think I be able to go that far into it all. the worst thing that breaks my heart is the fact that I never became anything useful

She won't eat anything "weird", and I'm at my wits end - anything that even a fussy eater will eat that can soothe an upset tummy? Have tried ginger and she refused to even let it get near her mouth. :( I think we need something liquid at this point! :( :( :( I can't even get to a store for some pepto... :( too late at night and I don't have anyone to watch her while I do that anyway!

I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis, I am taking 40mg. of Prednisone, and 800mg. of Bactrim. I am 32 yrs. old, and a smoker trying to quit. I still have more tests to take to see if it is in my eyes and heart. I haven't worked in a year, but I guess wondering if it is possible to get a job, and what kind of job could I do. I applied for SSI and Disability for Depression a year ago, and they denied me, then I added my Sarcoidosis before they make a decision in November. So, is it possible to get a job, and still have this disease? Or is anyone that has this disease still working or not. My brother seems to think this disease is nothing and I can still work, just wanting to see if it is possible or not.

i woke up 2 hours earlier this morning with DEADLY double over cant sit still period cramps. i took advil, and it isnt doing ANYTHING! i have had my period for 2 years and never experienced ANYTHING like this. is there ANYTHING i can do to make them go away? i have school today, too many tests to not go, and i cant focus like this!

I had to have a hysterectomy due to severe Endometriosis and PCOS age 23. Now 2 years on I am back to where I started, I'm in constant pain, still get terrible dragging period type pain as well. I have started to put on all the weight I lost post hysterectomy and have got the acne back as well as debilitating tiredness. I am on Evorel Conti HRT patches. Am now waiting for a laproscopy again to see whats going on.
Has anyone else had these probs post hysterectomy? If so what was the problem and treatment?

* I had a total hysterectomy with removal of both ovaries and cervix etc*

it hurts so much that i cant bare with the pain like it hurts deep inside like if i have something there not when the penis is entering nor am i dry i've been to doctors and they tell me everything is okay they dont know what the problem is but today i had a headache and my boyfriend gave me vicodin ( only thing he had) and wow i didnt feeelll no pain what so ever (only good pain lol) i've been searching online to see what i could have but no answers .....im going to another doc next monday hopefully he has the answer i wonder if it would help by me tellin him the pain was gone when i took that pill omgg thank good for that lol this is more like a statement but i would like some opinions

But I am still getting some REALLY NASTY cramps. I mean to the point where I have to lie down for a few minutes and take a few breaths. LOL! Anywho, I'm also getting over a cold and was prescribed an antibiotic called Augmentin and I noticed the cramps didn't actually start til I started taking them. What could be the problem? Could the antibiotics I'm taking be causing the pain?
