I won't make your eyes worse per se, but its likely that her prescription is not exactly what your eyes require. The chances that her prescription and your prescription are exactly same are low, as there are many variables to take into consideration. Wearing someone else's glasses won't make your eyes worse, but it will cause eye strain and headaches since its probably NOT the exact correction you need.

If you do not currently wear glasses and you feel you can see better with your friend's glasses on, then its time to ask mom or dad to take you to the Optometrist for a thorough eye examination and get your your OWN set with your correct prescritpion lenses in them.

Good luck

It is not a myth. All prescription glasses change the way light and images enter the eye. There is a change in focus that allows the person to perceive images and the world with better clarity than they would without the glasses.

People who need prescription lenses have some sort of problem with one or both of their eyes and they have been examined by a doctor who has prescribed the exact lenses to correct their specific problem.

Whenever you wear someone else's prescription glasses your own eyes stop seeing things as they usually do as they must adjust to the change that is forced upon them by the glasses. The change may be small or large, but it is always a change.

Your eyes are accustomed to changing focus, as they do it constantly, but the glasses create and force a certain type of focus that is not normal, because that is what the other person requires.

Initially, the effects of the change on your eyes may seem or feel like nothing, and it is true that they will recover quickly when the glasses are removed, but if you continue wearing someone else's prescription glasses regularly, then over a period of time your eyes will become dependent on the glasses. The period of time is critical, but it is also an individual reaction, dependent upon your own eyes and the strength of the lenses, so it is impossible to say how long it would take to cause problems for you.

Unless the glasses are specifically intended for you, do not wear prescription glasses.

Take em off.
You will damage your eyes wearing prescription glasses when you don't need to.If you continue to wear them you will need them one day.If you like the look of them, get the same frames with clear non prescription lenses in them.
