I was on birth control (deprovera) and decided to no longer be on it and when it was close to my due date my period came on as usual and hasn't stopped since. What is going on?

I have no idea what it is but I do know these things can happen when you mess with your hormones, have you seen your doctor? They will be able to figure out the cause and see if there's a treatment.

Depoprovera is known to cause irregular periods and in your case continuous bleeding. This can be easily remedied by you doctor (Your family doctor or a gynecologist) by using a form drugs which are hormones them selves. Depending on your age and other factors such as your family medical records the doctor may want to run some tests on you. The drugs which are usually prescribed for this purpose are very safe and have minimum side effects. If you have been loosing blood for a long time It is very important to go and see a doctor as soon as possible as you may be developing iron deficiency due to your blood loss, Which again can be easily remedied. Please go seek advice from your doctor as soon as possible as this is problem which easily can be settled with the proper medication.

This kind of bleeding can be caused by going off the Depo-Provera (same can happen to those that have been on the pill and then go off). I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
