I don't know where you are located but in the U.S. there about 40 different types of birth control pills. Some of them are generics of name brand pills like Mircette (an example). As for cost, it can vary from brand to brand as well as if one has medical coverage (such as having health insurance like in the U.S., an example). Sometimes insurance (if it applies) will dictate the cost of the birth control pills as to which are more expensive.

As to how it works, it works to stop the body from having natural periods (trying to prevent pregnancy for some women, or as in the case of other women for medical reasons like endometriosis).

The best time to take it is at night with either your supper or at bed time because sometimes the pill can cause one to be sick to their stomach if taken in the a.m. (had it happen to me).

If money is an issue check with the city health dept to see if they offer free clinics that one can use.

If you have other questions for me please feel free to e-mail or IM me off site any time.
