Can a lose of sense of smell ever be recovered?
My 14 year old daughter has been unable to smell anything for as far back as she can remember,but we as parents only discovered this recently after buying her perfume for her birthday.She made a random comment along the lines of "pointless pressie as I can't smell it".When we asked her why she had never thought to mention this to us before her answer was simply because she can never remember a time when she could smell.As a younger child she had her tonsils removed and two sets of grommets.She also has a deviated septum for which she has a hospital appointment for next week.Shes mentioned that she hopes they can restore her sense of smell,is this possible as I don't want to raise her hopes?

A friend use this and try to convince me it is not that bad. However when I am around this person, it's affecting me and the air I breathe when this person does this in the room or in the car. Is second hand smoke bad for me? I do not use any drugs but my friend does speed.

Maybe i forgot to say that i am female 5'2 128lbs trying to fill out a pair of jeans maybe even go up a size in jeans..possible make my chest look fuller also? Eating whatever i want just gives me a gut and make my face fat.....

I was diagnosed with ADD in the third grade, and was on Ritalin until tenth grade. I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and put on Levothyroxine. Shortly after starting the Levo I began getting killer migranes everyday, as a test my doctors took me off the Ritalin to see if that would help, I stopped having migranes but my GPA died. It took me five years to finish high school. I am now in college trying to study to be a Pre-School Teacher, my current GPA is 0.53 and I've been kicked out of my college for lack of performance. I was a stellar student when I was on ADD meds and I miss the focus I used to have.
Since I can not be on Ritalin because of the drug interaction I'm wondering if with all the new drugs now on the market, is there one that wouldn't/shouldn't interact with my thyroid medication?
Please, I'm getting desperate someone help me.

I too fat i weigh 100kg, am a lady aged 25. My boyfriend says he don't see any problem with my body but i just don't like the way i am. We are getting married this year December so i don't want to look old or too fat on my wedding day. I was asking a friend about what pain killers she found helpful with her back pain recently as I was about to go back to the doctor for the third time for stronger pain killers for my period. She said that my symptoms sounded exactly like endometriosis and I should get it checked out immediately because it could effect my fertility. Everyone I've talked to since has known what it is and has sounded really worried but I've never even heard of it before! I've just been given a referel to a GYN but I don't even know what he/she is going to be looking for, and I'm frickin scared because I don't want to be misdiagnosed. I also really want kids and don't know how much this could effect my fertility. Has any one got some basic advice without the complicated doctor language so I can understand whats actually happening pleas

For the past month I have had painful nipples and sore breasts when I wake up. I sleep on my back and side. The nipples are not inverted and not usually erect. The pain subsides after about a half an hour. The other day I laid down for a nap for an hour and I had stabbing pain in my left nipple and breast that woke me up. I can find very little about bilateral breast/nipple pain on the internet, everything is related to breastfeding. Has anyone experienced this? I have a diagnostic mammogram next week.

I have a boyfriend and I think he might get jealous. He hates when I go to the gym. One of the guys that works there knows alot about fitness and exercise and he helps me alot. Im always afraid my boyfriend will find out and be angry with me. Im not flirting or amything like that.

After I had my son, someone told me that I should go to a holistic clinic and get treatment for weight loss. She then explained that I would get little metallic objects put in my ear, neck, and back. When I start losing weight, then they put these "points" in other areas to help with the excess skin.

I then need to excersise and follow a very strict diet that forbids any carbs and sugar (including fruit!)

Is this similar to accupressure/accupuncture?

IS this a safe way to lose weight?

experiencing bleeding after she had sex. She has no leasions or warts, no discharge no pain w/urination. We observed that she had mucopurulent exudate, we can also cause slight bleeding when a swab is pass through the cervix. She has been sexual active 4 two years w/one parter. He was treated 4 gonorrhea with fluroquinolone ( in Thailand). I was thinking that this girl does have gonorrhea because fluoroquinolone is resistant to N. gonorrhoeae????
What is the diagnosis and the causative agent?

I had direct knee to pipe contact and now it hurts to bend my knee pretty much at all. Keeping the leg straight keeps me from any pain, but the pain is pretty severe with any movement. If you poke it, it doesn't hurt and the kneecap feels fine. It seems like it is something inside the knee. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow but just wondering what type of injury im looking at, any suggestion is welcome, thanks!

At 22 years of age I was diagnosed with bipolar. My spouse and I have decided to try to conceive and we have been very responsible about the prenatal care that is needed, but I actually have a time limit of 3 months to conceive in before my doctor puts me back on my medication so that I do not risk being hospitalized for a forth time, So I am just wondering if there are any fool proof ways that anyone has heard of to speed up the likliness of conceiving? I have bought a bbt thermometor and I'm taking prenatal vitamins.
