According to World Health Organisation(WHO), there are 5 million deaths per year that are associated only with smoke related illnesses. Here, some facts and figures.
The study from UK has shown that people who smoke are five times more likely to have heart attack in their 30s` and 40s` than the non-smokers.
People die of lung cancer that is 20,000 per year in UK alone. This figure is also backed up from a US study in which men who smoke are 22 times risk of dying of lung cancer and the risk is lower among women that is 12 times.
There are other types of cancer common among smokers like oral cancer, uterine cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer,stomach cancer, cervical cancer and blood cancer.
Smoking also increases the risk of having a stroke.
Peripheral vascular disease which is the other problem associated with smoking.
Smoking is the single most cause of COPD.
Smoking increase the risk of miscarriage, low birth weight,cot death, among pregnant women.
WHO expect that the death toll which is associated with smoking to hit 10 million in the year 2010 .

Lung cancer mainly, I met a women that was on oxygen that still smoked! I also same day met another women that said someone she knew used to do that until he forgot and turned himself into a fire ball it killed him, fire all down in his lungs horrible death!
imagine being that addicted!

Could in time weaken your respritory system cause lung failure. Stink up your clothes and home, bad breath. freezing while standing outside in winter having a smoke

My brother developed heart disease that he was told was caused by him smoking, so he gave up so he could have the surgery he needed.
2 years later he developed cancer in his throat, he was told this was also caused by his past smoking history.
