A friend use this and try to convince me it is not that bad. However when I am around this person, it's affecting me and the air I breathe when this person does this in the room or in the car. Is second hand smoke bad for me? I do not use any drugs but my friend does speed.

Help. Lucy

yes, how could it not be?? when you breath in the second hand smoke you are still breathing in these toxic chemicals.. besides killing you, your friend can also get you arrested because you are together.... meth is made from household chemicals, that say call poison control if swallowed... these are very caustic substances... you have stuff as:drain cleaner/rubbing alcohol, lithium batteries, anhydrous ammonia, red phosphorous, starter fluid or de-icer, muriatic or hydrochloric acid, lye, and iodine... would you normally want to put this stuff into your system??
breathing in the second hand smoke can cause damage to the lungs, heart and brain... it will also cause you to fail a drug test..
if you still must be friends with this person, ask them not to do it or have it on them when they are around you....
my friends husband had a heart attack at 20 from the stuff...

meth has the highest addiction and highest relapse rate of any available drug in the world (yes, more then heroine, with only 6% of users being able to completely kick). On top of that, yes, the fumes from creating it as well as the second hand smoke are equally dangerous. You should try to get your friend some help before it's too late, and in the mean time, stay far far away when they're doing it.

Methamphetamine, crank, ice, all the same thing. Oh, my gosh, it is SO bad for you!!! If you knew the ingredients that go into it, battery acid, some use lye, sulphur from match tips, all poison!! I have thought before that the person that cooked the first batch had to have been trying to commit suicide! Brain cells are immediately killed, your teeth fall out with chronic use, you can develop meth schizophrenia, totally go pyschotic, so paranoid you are dangerous!!! And you are being affected just by being in the house!! Look it up on the internet, print it out and hand it to him the next time he tells you it is not bad for you!!! Good luck, hon!!

Meth is absolutly hands down the the worse drug out there. I have picked up A LOT of meth addicts in my day, and they are some sad people. Many of them have a rat -like appearance. (skinny sunking eyes, etc.) and just gross in general. Because it keeps people awake for days on end, it But to answer your question, yes, it is VERY bad for you, unlike narcotics like heroin, pain pills etc where we have a drug to reverse the affects of an over dose. there in so such drug for meth. All we can do for you is treat your symptoms. If you OD on meth you are most likely going to die. and is also the most addictive drug I can think of. In fact, once someone gets to the point where they are injecting it. There is pretty much no hope for them ever quiting. So I BEG of you don't get near this stuff! Not only will it destroy your life you but it will destroy your family and friends lives as well when they have to see there loved one living on the side walk selling their body on the street corner for drugs.. Seriously your friend is a complete and total idiot. I suggest you you have no contact with them a long as they are using drugs. If anyone ever offers you meth, don't just say no. Say HELL no!! and don't walk but RUN as fast as you can away. TRUST ME! this is some BAD @!$&^%!

It is a killer. Maybe not the second hand smoke although I am sure it affects the user more.Look at all the documented cases of addicts dying from heart attacks from coke, crack or speed/meth use. Who I am to talk since I'm an herb user but no1 ever died from THAT. But you can't help some1 who doesn't want it :( .

Yes meth is very bad for you. It is made up of chemicals. Even making this drug is dangerous, some houses in which it is made have been known to explode. This drug will cause sores on your mouth, in your mouth, on your skin, hurt your lungs, and rot out your teeth. I am sorry but I would chose not to hang out with someone while doing this drug.

Yeah, it's bad. It's addictive, it rots your brain, it wires your brain differently. It even changes the saliva in your mouth: meth addicts tend to lose their teeth. Lousy idea. Stay away. My mom had emphysema when she died, even though she never smoked, and my dad, who smoked, had been dead for years. Second-hand smoke definitely affects you badly.
