i was diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder in February. my symptoms (physically) have improved greatly. i took buspar for 4 months. most of my anxiety attacks have gone, i've been eating normal for the most part, and sleeping a little better. i had quit taking my medicine because i could never remember it, and it always made me dizzy to the point that i felt sick. it never really helped with the emotional effects of my anxiety, though. i'm a hypochondriac. i've been terrified of having a brain tumor or some sort of terrible disease for months now. ive had two blood tests in the past few months, all of which came back fine. at night, i've also noticed, when i finally fall asleep, i wake up thinking i completely stopped breathing, but i didn't. it is not sleep apnea. i do not actually stop breathing. and i feel like i'm shaking terribly. but if you look at me i'm not. sometimes i look at the wall or something and it looks like there's weird designs on it. is this anxiety?

I recently found out I have HPV. I haven't had my coloscopy yet, but my doctor believes I may have genital warts.

I've been with my boyfriend for 3 years and either of us have had signs of warts.

If my doctor does find warts on me, what does that mean for my sex life.

Should I continue having oral sex?
I don't want to pass the warts to my mouth or his.

I was diagnosed with a "common" form of HPV. I had these small warts, look like skin tags, on the outside around the vulva. She looked at my cervix and it was clean. I had a clean pap in May. She counted 10 warts but I only physically saw 4-5. She gave me the option of putting cream on it 3-4x a week at night or having her put a form of acid on them once a week. I had her put the acid on them. They didn't all fall off. So I guess go back again this week?

Is there anyone else out there like me? Any word of advice or maybe what else I should do? I'm still confused and slighty emotional, even though most women get HPV at sometime in their life...I'm just stunned that I have it.

Thanks.

Last 3-4 days have been having MAJOR lower back problems. It started hurting one day while doing work in an attic and I twisted funny coming out of the attic. On top of this, my bed is about 10 years old, very soft (ZERO FIRMNESS) and actually slouchs a little in the middle. So now over these last few days it's gotten worse and worse, and even when I walk sometimes I feel my right leg give way as the pain shoots down in a wrapping sensation from my lower back to my leg. What can I do besides seek help from a medical physician? Stretching? What to do while sleeping? Pain meds? Muscle Relaxers?

i am lactose intolerant & have ibs. i am constantly in the bathroom with diarrhea. it is a miserable existence, so i've decided to go on a liquid diet until i can see my doctor (the end of this week). according to a "full" list of things one can have on a liquid diet- yogurt counts. will this only worsen things, though?

I have been taking Zoloft for about 12 years now. I have lived with depression for most of my life (I am 26 now). Two months ago my pharmacy began giving me Sertraline which is the generic brand for Zoloft. I didn't notice any changes for the first month while taking the generic brand. However over the last month I have noticed my depression worsening. I absolutely have no motivation, I lay around the house and sleep for 14-16 hours a day when not at work. However when I am at work I am completely fine, happy, laughing and enjoying myself. Could this be caused by the generic prescription or am I simply "used" to Zoloft now and its not working for me anymore?

A co-worker just died and several people recommended offering a hug to the wife of the deceased. Unfortunately, I know that she has fibromyalgia so physical contact is extremely painful. She does not know that we know this (her late husband told us a few weeks ago).

Any suggestions? What is an appropriate way to show sympathy in a case like this, when you don't want to put the person in pain?
