I've been eating white rice a couple times a week lately. I'm trying to gain a little weight, so I've been eating pasta and rice to help, which is better for you? Also I hear brown rice is healthier than white rice, is that true?

rice is better but only brown rice or wild rice (last one has a lot of calories). pasta is processed food so its not healthy for you - if you have to eat it choose whole wheat one.

They are about the same actually. white rice is probably the same as regular pasta, whereas you could buy brown rice or whole wheat pasta which is more healthy. You will benefit from the fiber that it supplies. Also, be thinking of what you are putting on/with the pasta and rice. From what I eat, the pasta dishes are usually more fattening, because of the creamy sauce and meat. I usually eat rice with black beans, which isn't very fattening. Try to lift weights. I hear that muslce mass weighs 3 times more than fat. You could gain more good looking weight that way.
