I just recently read an article that claimed using sunscreen can cause more damage than good. It claimed that in order for it to work, you need to re-apply every hour. And since most people don't re-apply as directed, you are just creating more radicals that cause cancer. Is there any truth to this?

help! im 15 & i hear about the gynecologist. my mom never told me about this. my grandma wants me to go. i know what goes on there! they look at you down there and they shove their hands up you! help! im so freaked out! i heard they put a speculum up you. how would that fit in your vagina? wont it hurt? i cant even handle tampons. how am i going to handle a speculum inside me? im not going. i know some people who never went in their life and they are okay. so im never going to go. i prolly dont have anything wrong with me.

I have a boyfriend of 3 months now. I feel like it is not time yet to go to the next level and he respects that - but we do fool around. Whenever we hang out at his place and we're both turned on, he always asks me to wash myself first before he can go down on me. It makes me feel like I'm smelly or dirty down there, although he keeps insisting that I don't - he's just more comfortable that I wash it. I am sure that I am not that smelly or dirty because I wash myself everyday, morning and night. I am aware that women do have a certain smell there no matter how often we wash it. But it always make me uncomfortable when he asks me to wash it everytime. My previous boyfriend didn't mind about it. Why does he?

I have never smoked or had any other addiction, but I am so totally addicted to FOOD and doctors tell me that if I just change my patterns and habits of eating that it will go away. Sorry, but will power is NOT cutting it. Any suggestions?

I am on birth control and have been for about 2-3 years. I try and take it every day at the same time, but sometimes I take it at nine, and other times I get busy and can't take it until 2 or 3 hours different. I don't have a routine schedule, so it's hard for me to find an exact time every day.
Anyways, onto my question. I had unprotected sex (I know, but mistake, one big drunken mistake night) and I'd not sure if the guy pulled out or not. I think he did, but I know that's not a gaurentee either. Also, I had sex the day before my period, so I know sometimes the days matter wether youre more fertile or not. My question is, how much of a chance is there I could be pregnant. I just over think things sometimes and am super paraniod, and I just want to see what the chances are and anything anyone can tell me. Thanks

My girlfriend is 29 years old, healthy, and the mother of a three-year-old. She breast fed for several months, but stopped over two years ago.

During intercourse, I was alarmed (and, admittedly, bizarrely turned on) to find that she was lactating. We went right out and bought a pregnancy test, which had a negative result. She has an appointment with her doctor to investigate this, but I'm not that patient. What could this mean?

I dont know what else to call it, but I have had a wicked sinus infection and the skin around my nose and mouth are so very raw from the sneezing and coughing. I have tried vasoline and neosporin but both smell or taste odd. Thanks for your help.

I work at a job that has probably positioned my spine out of allignment over the years. I run a converyor belt in a factory. Anyways I have just started to work out at a gym because I have gained weight. When walking on the tread mill (not running) I have noticed my right leg feels like it is under greater pressure than the left leg and my right knee is getting sore.

Any tips or hints to keep my leg from bothering me?

well she cant seem to communicate when theres an argument and therefore isolates me for weeks on end and then she might ring me out of the blue crying to come back to her but even then she covers up the reasons of her really bad behaviour and doesnt seem interested in the argument and therefore nothing resolved. she seems to ***** about everyone and anything and now im realising she could have been bitching about me behind my back too. she has only 1 friend and shes not even talking to her either. right now were in an off period as her father has died recently and she told her brother really bad lies about me at the funeral sending him into a rage so much i was threatened with a pitch fork and made to drive home a long way with drink inside me as i couldnt leave the care there for fear it would be smashed up every thing seems twisted and nothing real. the only people shes with right now is her brother and sister who she tires of also its a constant battle for her to keep peopl amiright

my orthodonist gave me this mouthgaurd that i have to wear r 4 hours a day, and while i sleep. i can't talk, or even open my mouth when i have it in. my teeth won't get straight if i don't wear it. just the thought of having perfect teeth isn't enough motivation for me the wear that thing everyday! what can i do to motivate myself? This person in my family has had history of this, as well as other symptoms, on and off, for couple of years now. We've noticed that when urine starts to get very, very dark, and/or oily_in a way that resembles gasoline in water_we put up our guard and try for her not to dehydrate. As well as watch her breathing, since she's 24 hours on a concentrator for her COPD and CHF, and the urine episode comes accompanied by the breathing problems.

Having thouroughly explained and asked her doctors during these years they have never come up with a simple solution. Instead a complex one is given. And I have to say that I've learned a bit more about many of her problems through respiratory technicians and nurses!!!

Why the oily urine?
