We often hear about the effects drugs, alcohol, and even cigarettes, can have on the baby in the womb. At birth, the child may present with birth defects, low birth weight, be stillborn, premature birth, etc.

Can you attest to the truth, or to the falsity, of these claims?

Please answer ONLY if you have been a smoker, drug or alcohol abuser, and have given birth to a child, or are the male parent of a child, or are a child who was born under these circumstances.

I have a blister on my finger from doing yard work. I poked a little hole and let the water out, but should I cut off the little bubble of skin? Will it get better sooner if i cut it off or leave it on?

my sister is wanting to start a business in promoting better health through excerise. It would be a place for everyone. we are wanting your ideas of what you as a customer would like to see in this type of setting.
this would be for all - not just women
would do you think as far as memebership prices, monthly fees without a signed contract meaning if you dont want to go for the month you dont pay. family memeberships.any thing that you would look for and make you say hey this is the place I want to try.
Please give all opinions on what you think is good or bad?
She really wants a place for everyone to have a better lifstyle.

He had to get a cather put in tuesday. The Dr. said it might have been a Kidney stone but that they dilodged a blood clot when inserting the cather. He had it Removed today at the Urologist office and now he is bleeding from the penis! He has passed some clots but has no pain unless he is passing the clots. Is this normal to have this much bleeding after the removal of a Cather??? He's 14.

I've been getting darker skin this summer. The thing is i've only gone outside the house for only 2 or 3 times. I'm getting a tan for no apparent reason. Waring sunscreen in the house won't work cause aparently sunscreen makes my skin darker. Is it because i'm eating some certain food that's causing this?? How to i make my skin lighter?

All day at work today I have been getting pressure on the left side of my head that goes down to my ear. It's not sharp, but dull and constant. When I tilt my head to the right, it's VERY uncomfortable.

I'm not sure what this is, it's not a burning sensation or anything like that. It's like when you're in an airplane, just not only your ears but the left side of your head as well.

I've been trying to think about what could have caused this and the only two possibilities I have come up with are I had a teeth cleaning done yesterday (some of my teeth on the left side are sensitive) and I did a yoga practice yesterday. But I've done both of these many times previously, but have never had this problem!

Any advise, articles, and/or websites you can direct me to would be most appreciated!

Well, this is a very weird question. But, you know where the elbow is? What's that part called that's on the other side of it? Like, whenever you touch your right hand to your right shoulder, that body part that closes. What's that called? You might not understand. I started taking Kariva about a month ago. I'm on my 2nd pack.. almost the 2nd week. There are the white pills for 3 weeks...with hormones I'm assuming.. then 2 green pills w/o hormones and 5 blue pills that have hormones. My last brand of bc didnt have different color pills.. they had the same hormones for all 28 days so starting Kariva has confused me, because I thought that I would get my period when the blue pills started.. but nothing happened. Then I thought maybe it would be when the pack ended.. and still no period. I read the little pamphlet thing that came with the pills and it didn't say anything about when you should expect to get your period. I was wondering if anyone could give me information on this brand of birth control.

Vaginal itch?
I have had this for weeks.
There is no way it could be an STD (yes, I am sure)
I tried: yogurt (for a couple days)
vagisil (works for a few hours)
yeast infection medicine
neosporin
I havent changed soap, detergent, medicine
There is no smell, discharge, and it looks normal.
My little boy had a (drug resistant) staph infection on his foot a while ago. I could have accidently touched his foot and forgot to wash my hands before I went to the bathroom.

Has anyone had something like this before?

They understand she is dying, and we let them see her up until she got really weak and started mumbling to the point you can't understand her. Should I still take them to visit her? I banged my wrist up pretty bad about 2 days ago. It's swollen and brused, as would be expected. I'm not sure if I just sprained it or if there could be a fracture or something of that nature. I'm just curious if there's anything I could do to see if there is a more serious problem than just a sprain. I just don't want to I spend 4 hrs. waiting in the emergency room if they're just going to give me extra strength asprin because it's a bad bruise.

I've been on birthcontrol for the past 3 years with little complication. I went away last week across country and with the time changes i missed my pill a couple of days and took the next few at various times. i was on the active pill that week, and due to get my period the following. but i got my period a week early, and im still bleeding a week later...instead of taking the inactive pills on sunday i started a new pack. will the bleeding stop once my body figures out whats going on??
