I've been on birthcontrol for the past 3 years with little complication. I went away last week across country and with the time changes i missed my pill a couple of days and took the next few at various times. i was on the active pill that week, and due to get my period the following. but i got my period a week early, and im still bleeding a week later...instead of taking the inactive pills on sunday i started a new pack. will the bleeding stop once my body figures out whats going on??

The reason you started early was the missed pills. If you missed one during the first week of a new pack it wouldn't really matter but since you were close to the active pills then it just made you start earlier. Once you start the new pack your cycle should go back to regular.

Since you started the new pack without taking the rest of the last pack your cycle will be off for a bit. When I purposely skipped that last week it took me months for my cycle to get regulated.

Next time, just take one pill per day at the same time (or close to it) each day, even if you get your period/breakthrough bleeding or not.

So your cycle will be a little wacky for a bit.

Go to the Dr. its not very normal... but nothing to be really upset about. Its hard when you travel, your body might just need time to adjust. Just go get checked out to be sure.
Good luck
