Yes. I shout and scream at everyone for anything, although I do usually have good reason. I just end up getting myself really worked up and the only thing that can calm me down is to walk away and take a few deep breaths to try and relax.

The very day before my period starts I get either Psychotic [really angry just isnt descriptive enough] Emotional, like hysterically sobbing over something that is slightly happy on tv
Monster muncher and eat anything that my eyes lay sight on.

At the time i dont put it down to the monthlys, but it the morning when they arrive I'm like "yea that figures."
They say evening primrose helps, but I take it and I'm not convinced, also vit B6
Your not alone trust me..just let everyone round you know the script and dont be apologising every month

I'm wondering if what you are really experiencing is PMDD.

I was diagnosed with PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder) back in 2003, about a year after the birth of my daughter. After my daughter was born, I had a very severe case of PPD (postpartum depression), and I believe that the PMDD stems from the PPD.

During my PPD days, I was on many antidepressants, some antipsychotic meds, as well as antianxiety meds. They did help, up to a point, and then my medication dosage needed to be increased, eventually leading to a medication switch.

When the PMDD came about, it became even a darker time for me. I was suicidal every month, the desperation was horrible. NONE of the meds I was taking helped my case of PMDD, whereas there are many women who are helped by meds such as Prozac or the generic form of it, Serafem. They did not help me in the least bit. I was hospitalized at one point b/c of the PMDD... as well as once with the PPD.

In October of 2006 I began taking Yaz birth control, which has literally saved my life. I no longer take the other meds, except for an occasional Ativan for anxiety.

Here is an article about my personal experience... I warn you, it's quite intense.

And, here is some major info regarding PMDD...

If you by chance have PMDD, don't ever listen to anyone who tells you that it's "just bad PMS." It's NOT just "bad" PMS. PMDD is a highly debilitating condition, and it is definitely real.

You may want to look into checking this out, this link will take you to a site in which you can track your symptoms to find out if you do have PMDD...

I get the same way...I'm sad, happy, and mad all at the same time. When this happens I have to slow myself down and think...
'Do I really have to punch my brother in the face? Or, is it just my hormones?'
Of course, it's the hormones, so I just walk away. It's best to avoid situations which would cause you to get angry or sad. If you're in an argument, no matter how hard it is, let the other person win. Just ignore it. It's also best to stay away from people who may be aggrivating. I stay away from my parents for the couple of days when I feel mad. It just makes everyone a lot happier, and most of the time they wont understand all of these moodswings (especially your dad!).

Yep, and it makes me even more angry if someone asks me if I'm pmsing (I usually end up bawling while I'm yelling at whoever asked). I actually take zoloft to help with my mood and anxiety problems...if I didn't have it life would suck for both me and those around me. I hate it, but there is nothing I can do about a hormone imbalance. You might try talking to your pcp or ob/gyn and see if he/she thinks you have a hormonal imbalance. Good luck girlie!

Sometimes feel angry or sometimes feel very depressed. Usually happens few days before my period so I know when it's coming.

It varies. My pre-menstrual stress swings from extreme anger to sobbing like a jelly.

However, if I don't get PMT that month, I have the worst period ever, really gory with severe grumpiness!

I sit and dream of killing people I don't like. Sometimes, I stay away from everyone for two weeks out of the month. I only go out when I have to. It is very scary to out of control of your emotions. I have found no medical relief either. Drs. don't believe me when I say I visual myself hurting other people. I hate being this way, too.

Honestly I don't mind having it. Those are the days my hubby knows not to disagree with me so it always goes my way. Plus sounds odd but I also know that I can go to bed at night and not mauld by my hubby. I call it my days off. I get to rest and relax and get pampered.
