I have severe low blood pressure, to the point I've had seizures because of it. You need to start adding more sodium to your diet, and eat at least 5 small meals a day. If its so bad to the point that you are feeling faint or passing out, see your doctor. There may be a more serious problem causing your blood pressure to be low....such as a heart issue.

first you have to find out if it's lo blood pressure or not. Go sit in the chair at the local pharmacy (Eckerd, Rite Aid and WalMart all have these) and do it yourself for free. . Your symptoms sound like low blood SUGAR. You may not be eating enough. When the dizziness happens is it followed by a huge headache? If it is then it's your blood sugar. Eat a cup of applesauce or a health bar.

Your blood pressure is only low if it it is below 90/60. A lot of people get somewhat worried when their blood pressure is something like 100/60 or 100/70 which is actually excellent. 120/80 is regarded as normal but anything lower down to 90/60 is much better.

A Yahoo search for "low blood pressure" + "natural remedies" will tell you how to deal with low blood pressure.

This will very much depend on the cause. If you are well with no drop in blood pressure when standing then you should congratulate yourself – you do not need any treatment. However, if you do have symptoms then treatment will depend on the underlying cause.

If you are feeling dizzy or light headed especially on standing, i would advise you to see your GP you may need medication.

I wouldn't advise eating more salt or foods high in cholesterol, because these can cause other serious health problems.

Often a sign of dehydration.
Drink more liquids, Gatorade replaces electrolytes.

Been through this with dehydration, although I've always had low blood pressure. Better than high.

Drink more fluid!!! Lemonade is good for you! Also have a lot of salt, salt raises blood pressure, especially need more in the summer cause you lose salt as you sweat. Make sure you are eating every few hours. Thats about it.

First off, how do you know your BP is low? Are you measuring it? Also what is low to you? If you are having new symptoms that are concerning to you, then you need to see a doctor for an accurate diagnosis.
It is very unusuall to have low BP in a healthy individual that is not related to dehydration.

Extra sodium and liquids can help, but if the blood pressure gets low enough, see a doctor and there are a few medications s/he could prescribe

You really should go see a doctor about this. Low BP can be just as dangerous as high BP. Don't fool around, it's not a good thing to do. Go see a doctor, asap!

It sounds like you have not seen a doctor yet. This could be a serious condition - you need to see a doctor first. SOON.
