ok, its summer and theres nothing to do!! its so hot outside so the only thing u can do is go swimming. do u hav any ideas on things i can do that burns a lotta calories, and i can do by myself (wit out frends)?

o yea, i was thinking bout goin outside and joggin in the mornings...but it would look kinda weird since im only 12...

Let’s just say I’m really self conscious about my body. I’m turning 14 and entering the 8th grade. All the other girls in my class are sooooo skinny! I’m 5’6 1/2” and 140Ibs and my body build is thick, but I’m not fat, though I feel that I am. My body has matured already – meaning I don’t have a flat chest and might have some curves. As I mentioned before, I feel fat. I have enormous thighs and calves and flabby arms and stomach. Am I just being paranoid? I think I could lose some weight but still be healthy. It runs in the family: we love food! I’m a vegetarian, but that doesn’t stop me! How do you build will power to not eat? Gaa! It’s hard!

I play basketball and volleyball during the school year. During the summer there are only basketball camps, which I don’t really want to do. I’ve already looked for leagues but there aren’t any. Club volleyball is way too expensive! Do you have any suggestions for sports I can do just for the summer in Chicago? I know this is a bit late to sign up for things, so are there sports that I can just join right in and then quit whenever I want to? Thanks so much!

To make this clearer, if you've only had sex with one person, and that person has only had it once with you as well.

If you continue to have sex with that one person with or without protection, will you get an STD or AIDS?

Help! Urgent! What good anti-biotic medicines for burning throat are OTC and can be bought at Walgreen?

Hi all,

I just burned my throat. I ordered some food and I ate too fast while it's still very hot. It almost choked in my throat. But now I am okay. The only problem now is that my throat is burned. I feel painful in my throat. And I am sure it will develop into sore throat and then become inflammatory. I will have to see a doctor and take some anti-biotics. If I am strong enough, I probably will be able to go through it without seeing a doctor. The problem is that I am having a light cold these days. So I am actually a bit weak. I am not sure. Given my busy schedule, I don't want it to develop into inflammatory and force me to see the doctor. Could anybody recommend some good "anti-biotics" type medicines that are good for such burning throat and so that I can confine the sickness to a limited range so that my body can sustain it? Getting inflammation will be horrible. Thank you!

I gave blood 11 days ago. A few days after I noticed a rather large bruise. It's about 6 inches long and 4 inches wide; it's not a solid bruise. It's become sore within the last 4 days. I can't bend it without it becoming painful. I've been told that my blood went under my skin. It took less than 5 minutes to give the pint of blood. What should I do?

Hi! We do not have health insurance right now and my daughter has severe abdominal attacks. For two years, we have wasted a lot of time and money on doctor visits that have not helped my daughter.

Recently she had another abdominal attack, related to her cycle. She gets them so bad that she ends up doubling over in pain, and often gets headaches and throws up. What's worse is that she's extremely allergic to ibuprofen and/or Motrin, and Pamprin. She's also allergic to citric acid and most fragrances.

Another issue that we recently discovered is that when she gets these pains, her abdomen gets really cold while the other parts of her body is warmer, or sometimes it's the opposite situation (abdomen extremely warm, but the rest of the body is cold).

She's been to several doctors and has even had an ultrasound and gall bladder study. All show nothing is wrong. The attacks last up to 2 to 4 hours and then afterwards she feels fine. Any suggestions?
