Limit yourself to a glass of wine a night (cut back further if you think you can), and keep in mind that as far as alcohol goes, wine is probably the best choice you can make. I can't remember why (probably contains antioxidants), but it is good for you in moderation. It is also low in calories compared to, say, a margarita.

As for the bread and pasta, switch to whole grain. Whole grain breads and pastas have more fiber that will help to fill you up on less food.

I lived in Milan for 3 months and thats alot of what I ate. I found the reason I stayed healthy is because of Portions, and Everything is made with quality indg. I had a glass or two of wine everyday, croissants made fresh, pizza. There pizzas is made fresh with olive oil fresh mozz, fresh made tomatos, etc. Also I ate fruits and veggies and fish. Most italians had their pasta and bread as a anti pasti or primi ... their main courses were always veggies, fish, meat, etc... SO enjoy the wine, the pasta, the bread. jUst remember to Make room for the veggies, meat, and fruits...

hmmm this really all depends on your age and your genetics and how physical you are. if you eat bread and pasta and wine on a regular basis and do not exercise, chances are you will put on weight.

you should probably stick to eating lots of vegetables and salad, stick with lean meats, fish, fruit and whole grain bread and pastas. limit your consumption of bread and starchy foods. like don't have bread for breakfast, lunch and supper. and definitely get into a gym and do some form of cardio. lift weights too.. muscle burns fat.

All in moderation my dear. You can have all those things........in moderation.

Increase your exercise, decrease your intake.

Use whole wheat pasta instead of the other kind.

Drink 1 glass of wine and have water afterwards.

Eat bread with olive oil instead of butter. Reduce the amount you eat and know when to say I'm full.
