I am in sports-- I've been in Basketball, Track & Field, Cheerleading, Lacrosse, Tumbling, and Volleyball-- Both of my jobs require standing for about 5-7 hours at a time-- Are these all factors??

Is it too late to get rid of them??

Why so young??

Most of the time my feet are as cold as ice cubes.

At night when I go to bed, they are usually freezing cold. But for the past little while I have been waking up in the middle of the night and it feels like someone has put hot coals underneath my feet and they feel like they are literally on fire. Last night it was so bad it woke me up four different times.

Has anyone had this happen before ? I have a family history of heart disease and I'm wondering if this is due to poor circulation or if it could possibly be some type of nerve problem.

Anyone had this or know what this sound like ??

I'm going to schedule a dr.'s appt, but I was just curious what this could be.

When I was a kid, I was considered a "nerd" and "the ugly girl" at my school. It didn't help matters much that I was born with a "lazy eye" and that I didn't know how to fix my hair properly or put on the best makeup. However, when I was 22, I was finally able to get my lazy eye surgically corrected, so that was one problem that was solved. Since then, I've learned how to dress well, apply makeup properly, and wear the right haircut. However, I STILL feel like the nerd and the ugly girl!I've been told by a few people that I'm attractive, though I still occasionally have heard a few people comment negatively on my appearance. Also, I don't exactly have guys beating down my door.Above all else, though, I want to stop feeling so damned self-conscious! I sometimes find myself staring in the mirror to see if I look ugly or not. (Some days I think I do, and others I don't.) How can I stop worrying about my looks and just relax?

I was flossing my teeth today and I noticed that there was a little bit of blackish stuff on one of my back teeth. I picked at it a little and a tiny bit came off but not all of it. What is this? Is it a cavity? I've never had one before and I brush 2-3 times a day plus floss so I'm not sure how that could happen. Also on the other side of my mouth, when I bite down hard, it is sore. Any ideas to what either of these could mean??? Thanks!!!!!!

Very strange thing... I woke up yesterday morning with my neck and back (top left side) and even a little of my shoulder, stiff and uncomfortable. I thought maybe I slept wrong. I tried stretching gently and just rotating my head in circles. It seemed alright for most of the day yesterday, but it did start to get worse last night. Then, I woke up at 5:30 this morning with more pain. I have been taking Advil every 4.5 hours, and it seems to be helping quite well. I am concerned thought, because I have never felt this way. Not only do I have pain in my neck and shoulder, but also the top part (above my chest on the left side, under my neck) and ever sometimes when I swallow. I am not sure what this is. I don't believe it is a herniated disk or anything like that - there is no burning, tingling, numbness, or shooting pains. Just stiffness and dull pain, but I am confused with the tenderness when I swallow and the discomfort above my chest. I have NO insurance currently. Please help.

I have peripheral neuropathy, the cause is unknown but I believe it has to do with previous back sergeries, anyways last year after having the flu my symptoms became full blown (weakness, sharp pains, tingling, numbness, yada yada yada) about four months ago the symptoms cleared up I started jogging again and feeling great, my kids came home with the flu last week and I felt asthough I was coming down with it too, but instead I ended up with all the full blown neuropathy symtoms. is this common?

I know that the summer can either make me or break me, so I want to try to lose as much as I can over a 3 month period. Like I said, I'm 18, 5'9" and 250 lbs., which puts me in the obese category, sadly. Can anyone give me the best program on losing weight (combo of exercise tips and eating tips, when to do it, etc.)

I have pcos and one of the side effects is irregular periods. My last (current) period is on week 6... I have tried Sabina (savine), and know I have used progesterone cream for 4 days and while its lightened up I am still getting clots. It looks like it is ending then it will start up again... I know many will suggest going to the doc and they will give me provera... I dont ahve insurance right now and wont until july....

And by the way, guys don't answer. This isn't your department. I recently had a baby and WANT TO GAIN WEIGHT. I do not want to lose. Which birth control will make me gain alot of weight? Depo Provera is dangerous, I wouldn't take it. But I am considering Mirena or Norplant because my husband and I don't want another child for at least 2-3 years. Mirena is expensive for the 5 years it works. But I've been on the patch and pills and they made me moody and I couldn't remember to take the pills. I don't like Ortho's products, either. So what do you recommend? I'm considering and IUS or IUD.
