im 25 n have been havin irregular menses since puberty.but now it has gotten worse.i had my menses thrice in march n in april for 2 weeks.and i have been gaining weight.
my LH,FSH n prolactin levels r norm.there are no cysts and no tumors in hypothalamus or pituitary.
i think i may b havin PCOS but cant confirm till i get back 2 my country to run a full checkup.
im a medical student n i thght perhaps estrogen-progesteron contraceptives might help.but im afraid it will make me gain more weight n worsen my symptoms.pls help....thnx

I think it's weird, even if I dont move a lot, or dont waste a lot on energy it's funny I am all active and then as soon as I ejaculate I feel down in energy wanting to sleep, lazy basically.

it keeps on festering up again & again - and it's painful! Anyone got any ideas on how to bring a hair to the surface without the normal 'digging' that you have to do? (ps - I'd ask a friend to help me out but, ingrown hair is in the genital area.) So apart from going to the doctors to get it removed - which I really don't want to do - I need another alternative.

We have a child with growing numbness to pain in his right arm. In two years, it has gone from a 2" wristband to a span between the nuckles and the elbow and literally does not hurt. Otherwise, the arm is fully functional. However, he has recently also started having black outs in his right eye, causing falls. We took him to a neurologist who says the initial eeg is clear and is calling it migraine syndrome, but he would not take a full history to include his father's childhood epilepsy. Does migraine syndrome cause numbness in the arms or legs?
Does anyone know what might cause this?

I was molested for 3 years before i told someone. (started at age 13, am now 19) when i did, my whole family told me i was a liar. my mother made me confront him. he told me that he would be back to get me.
even now, a few days ago my uncle and aunt asked me if what happened then was true.
my mom says im the reason her life is ****** up. she picks her boyfriends over me. the guy shes with now, tells me im no one because hes not my father and that im the court jester in their kingdom. she refused to let me move in with her when i was going to college ( she lives in the town they school was in, i live with an aunt.) my mom tells the rest of my family that im a liar and not to trust me because id stab them in the back. my grandmother is schizophrenic, my mom is depressed all the time. my aunt is a hypocondriac.. i hate everyone. i get so mad that i think i could kill someone. im very paranoid, i think every1's talking about me. i hate being touched by any1 who isnt my bf...what do i do?

How long will it be before i get my period. I had my son almsot 9 mths ago. He is eating solids 3 times an day and snacks, but i still haven't had my period (except for the six wks after having him) I would really like to try for another baby. I am worried something is wrong with my heart. I am always thinking my heart is just going to stop. I have severe panic attacks that strike me for no reason at all. My heart starts pounding really hard and I can feel in flutter in my chest. I had a EKG in 2003 and one this past February. The doctor did not tell me if anything was wrong with my heart. Everything I've read said something about chest pain. This was not chest pain. It's pain in the right side almost up under the armpit and and in my upper back. It HURT so bad to just try to breath normally-and trying to take a deep breath made it worse. It feels like my right lung. I was only sitting as a passenger in a car, nothing strenuous.

Last year the doctor gave me an inhaler-she said I was wheezing (news to me). So, when I got home tonight I used the albuterol/inhaler thing-and it's helped the pain subside. This is my 3rd/4th time experiencing this pain, which is so bad I don't even want to breathe. I'm not sure if I should even bother going in to the ER when it happens, but tonight it was so bad I almost went in anyways.

I have other medical issues going on which also have not been diagnosed yet-pain in hip/leg/pelvis, which ONLY gets better when I am not overly active-standing or walking too much(or driving). I have not worked for two years because of it. Any Ideas?

Well I dont' have my period yet, but I have discharge and sometimes I feel really wet down there and when I get changed it looks like I have wet myself! For the past 6 days I have had an unbearable sore throat, I wentto the dr wednesday for a strep test and it came back negative. My glands are swollen, this is the worst sore throat I have ever had...I am 25. I am couphing up reall gross stuff. I havent eaten in 3 days....I am drinking lots and lotsof fluids, and gargling salt water. My dr thinks I have mono and put me on zythromyacin yesterday. I woke up today still feeling horrible....whats wrong with me......should the meds kick in soon??

My best friend has a disorder called PICA. For those of you who don't know pica is an eating disorder which causes you to eat non-food items, her item of choice is toilet tissue. The thing is she is really worried that it is affecting her period. She has told me before that her period is irregular but now she says that it is crazier than normal and is staying for a month and a half to two months. She dosn't have health insurance so she hasn't been to the doctor yet. I just wanted to know if anyone could help me because I am really getting worried and I'm hoping that there is nothing seriously wrong with her insides or something. So can someone please help me out........

I had carpal tunnel surgery years ago, and I thought it was a build up of scar tissue in my wrist. It is burning and tender to touch, and swollen with a small thickened area where you would check a pulse. I'm letting my doctor know Monday. Just want to know your thoughts.

I drink between 30 and 60 12oz. American beers each week. I have, as of yet, noticed no ill effects (aside from the occasional hangover) and am personally satisfied to continue this course aside from a lingering suspition that I may be harming my health in the long term. I have read/heard many reports of liver cirrhosis being caused by alcoholc consumption but just as many of heart disease being cured by the same medicine. Has there been a study supporting the postulation that non-drinkers live longer than drinkers? What do you think?
