How long will it be before i get my period. I had my son almsot 9 mths ago. He is eating solids 3 times an day and snacks, but i still haven't had my period (except for the six wks after having him) I would really like to try for another baby. IS this usual not to have a period this long after haveing a child??? serious answers please. Thank you for your HELP

Periods can be absent for as much as 14 months even if not lactating, and breast feeding can add months to that total, even if the feeding itself is long done. Quite common to see breastfeeding women go 14 - 16 months before they start ovulating again, although many get their period after only 2 or three months as well... see actual comments at this site:

Call the OB/Gyn nurse at your clinic and see if she has more info...

If you were still nursing him even a little bit that can sometimes delay the period for up to a year. But because he is now eating solids 3 times a day and some snacks it sounds like you could have a hormone imbalance going on. I would recommend getting in touch with your dr to see what they think.

I have a period about twice a day... i don't get it.. everyone calls me "period-two-day". it gets really annoying.
