Unfortunately yes
I have had them twice, they are very painful, if you recognise symptoms early enough you can get treatment, which may lesson the severity of the attack. A bit like having rolled in a bed of stinging nettles, itchy and prickly all in one, but hurts to touch.
I found taking L-lysine helps reduce the attack and sometimes I have avoided a full blown attack. Try reduce stress levels, and maintain a healthy diet, (fruit and vegies) also helps.

I have shingles and although I have had only one outbreak, my doctor tells me they usually reappear. The virus is attacking your spinal cord and lies dormant for very long periods of time. When an outbreak appears it is always confined to one side of your body. This has something to do with the way the virus attacks the nerves in your spine. My doctor told me that at times of high stress these outbreaks seem to reappear. I'm told that if you've ever had the chicken pox you are a possible candidate for shingles. I fall in that category.

Yep, they sure can. Shingles is actually a reinfection from chicken pox. The virus, just like the one that causes cold sores, can hang around under the skin indefinately, it uses opportunities when our bodies are run down to build up numbers and make us sick and uncomfortable again.

Yeah, coming from journey. it is stress that triggers it extra desirable than the rest. as quickly as I have been given them the 1st time, I had significant stress yet now that i've got completed issues to calm myself down I certainly have yet to get them lower back. you may get them extra desirable than as quickly as through fact Shingles is saved on your backbone (alongside i think of) and it continues to be idle. no longer relaxing to get. It hurts and you're pissy each and all of the time.
