I have just started my weight training programme and I am already having problem. I am right handed and therefore I am stronger in that hand. Now when I lift weights ( For example a Dumble curl) I can do more reps/weight on my right hand and my left hand cant keep up. there is an imbalance. Do I first work out only on left hand and after a while do both or what..... How do I achieve the balance. Please advise.....

Whenever I'm in a restaurant, even if I'm expecting it, I feel like loud noises give me a "heart attack" so I have to plug my ears- (slamming dishes, when a child or person screams, someone sneezes loud, & several other (steady) noises bother me too, like "scraping plates", people who slurp their drinks, blow their nose,....anyways, why do noises bother me? is it the coffee? is it my epilepsy?-I take carbamezepine. Is there a name for this problem I have?

I have chronic kidney failure and also Periphal Neuropathy. I also on immunosuppressants, and steroids because of my lung transplant. My diabetes doctor say that i am diabetic but i dont take the meds because my levels go down fast, and they say its because of my steroids that cause it, however my Kidney doctor say that i have not been diabetic long enough for the neuropathy to be caused by diabetes. My question is does my kidney failure have anything to do with my neuropathy. The kidney doctor seems to believe more that ts the kidney thats causeing it. I am asking this because i filed with the Vet Affairs and they say no way. That it is the steroids that cause it and they wont acknowledge the problem. Any suggestions or help, answers would be greatly appreciated.

My gf just recently let me know that she's been having some discharge since the last couple of days - she's already booked a visit to the OBGYN however I'm curious to read other's opinion on the case. Apparently she noticed some time around sunday that she was having the "regular" transparent discharge, by monday - tuesday she said it had turned into white/yellowish, and finally by wednesday she was way too concerned as she now saw some spotting and what was previously yellowish was now pinkish with trails of blood on it. We have been reading and saw that discharge and spotting occur when there's implantation however she just had her last period the week of 04/23 and since then we've only had intercourse two times, on 04/26 and 04/28 - next thing we know she's having this discharge. Any ideas, advice, concerns? We've also read about the possibility of it being an infection but there's no cheesy look to it nor any foul odor. Looking forward to some clue on what this could be!!!

ok i no wer the bleeding is coming from (and take it u put the tampon there) and i no how to get it in but the applicator just wont go in i tried small 1's but i can only gget about a cm of it in please help and i cant use pads well ican but i go dancing and they just end up twisted

i've been on birth control for three months now and i havent really had any break through bleeding and my periods have been pretty light. Well i'm into my second week of pills and i've been bleeding since yesterday. It hasnt been spotty bleeding either,it's been like my pre-birth control periods heavy.
WTF anyone?

I have had two lumbar discograms in the past 3 mnths. Both of them were unsuccessful. Infact I have more pain now in addition to the pain that I had the surgery for. I put complete faith in the two doctors that worked on me.But I'm getting suspicious now. I have been out of work now for 6 months and my wife is 7 months pregnant. I really need to find the best doctor out there who can fix me. The success rate for the type of surgeries I had was around 90%. After the first surgery I tried to work with a friend and after about 6 hours I was immobile from the pain in my lower legs and feet. Please help if you can!!!

what tests does my friends doctor need to order check to see if anything is wrong with her heart, lungs liver, pancreas,kidney, and colon, and bones, test that will definitely tell , not test after tests she had a complete hysterecomy because her stomach was always in pain only reason given by doc for the surgery in 83 has taken harmones maybe 2 month total in all those yrs,she had a bone density test 2 yrs ago has ostepenia, joints pop al the time she has had her gall bladder taken out 4yrs ago,she has repeated hematuria now she has distinst back pain . nausea but when she burps feels better was told she had liver cysts but doc say nothing was wrong with liver panel what does that mean anyway hard to find a doc that she can question she feels and i do to if you can't ask questions find another she hasn't been very sucessful ifeel bad for her if she didn't get good doctoring what do the panels that they take mean. has had steostatic left breast biospy was find had it

Why should people of normal weight pay to subsidize overweight people? Don't they also make the plane use more fuel which is bad for the environment? You have to pay for baggage of excess weight--why shouldn't you have to pay if you're overweight as well? Wouldn't it be an incentive for people to lose some weight too, and therefore good for public health in general? (I don't mean pregnant women by the way--they could carry a medical cert which would excuse them from being charged extra.) What do you think?

I'm currently 15 years old, 225Lbs and 5'9 5'10 ish, I don't look all that fat, I have a gut too me, but its not that big, I look somewhat kinda just chubby, but barely, but I have man boobs, slightly, very small, kinda only just a bump, not an actually ''boob'' there not too big, and my nipples arent pointy, Its really hurting my self esteem, and my self image, lack of confidence, everything, Is my 225 muscle & fat combined & how do I get rid of my chest fat? Can I still get skinny if my man boobs and weight gain is genetic or puberty? How long would it take to get rid of this! the man boobs I mean! How long would it wake to get rid of them, and make my chest flat, like, my boob area flat.

Hello,

I'm a 26 year old guy and have noticed the hair on the top of my head begin to visibly thin.

I want to start using Rogaine/Minoxidil, but every report I read on the subject says that the hair loss returns to its natural state as soon as you stop using the product.

Can you safely use Minoxidil for years and years? Like, e.g., 5 years in a row? Does anyone have any experience with this? Basically, I'd like to maintain the same level of hair thickness (or slightly improve it), until I'm at least 30.

Please let me know if you have any idea.

I am confused about the sizing of pants/ jeans? How is it possible to be a size six and still be 35 pounds over weight. I am 5 feet 3 inches tall and I weigh 160 pounds. I am in the proess of losing weight, and my goal is between 125-130. I know I could go smaller, but being a stick figure isn' for me. As long as I am within a healthy wieght range that is all that matters. What I don't get is how I can still be 160 and fit into size six pants. Are consummers being duped when it comes to sizes. I am of average height and I have never heard of anyone my height being a size 6-8 at 160lbs. Is it my frame or have the sizes gotten bigger?

I've also heard you're not supposed to eat withing 3 hours of falling asleep, which seems more accurate to me. I mean really, how does your stomach know what time it is? I think at one point the national average bedtime was 10PM, hence the 7PM saying. I haven't gone to bed by 10 since....middle school. Can anyone WITHOUT DOUBT set this straight. Please, don't just say "Well I think it's blah blah blah, but not sure". Only answer if you know a definate answer.

About 2 1/2 weeks ago I was at work and bent over to pick something up and on my way up I hit my head fairly hard on an x-ray unit. I didn't feel well a few days after but my headache went away. About five days ago I felt worse and have a neck strain too. When I am in bed trying to fall asleep at times I jump up because it feels like I'm losing my breath for some reason. I went to the doc today and he thinks I may have post concussion syndrome. He prescribed me some darvon and I took one and now my forehead/head feel like they are asleep. They scheduled me for a head CT scan for next week Thur to see if I have bleeding or any severe problems (he thinks I should be fine) but I don't know if I want to wait that long since I don't feel well at all. My question is for anyone who has ever had post concussion syndrome are these symptoms supposed to be severe like they are for me? Or is this not normal?
