Starving yourself will not help it will make you sick.

A proper diet works by a combination of small portions at regular intervals combined with exercise.

Research which foods should be avoided, such as take-aways & pizzas which contain high levels of cholesterol and fat.

Eat lots of fruit and drink pleanty of water.

And consult your Doctor.

I concur with conranger1, don't ever skip a meal, it will eventually slow your metabolism.
The end result would be your metabolist may eventually stop, when that happens you're more likely to gain weight then lose it.
Try walking if your not physically active.
Don't knock it. I lost 100 lbs. in one year doing that.
