When I say 'fad' diets, I'm talking Slim Fast, Maple Syrup diet, Cabbage Soup diet, Atkins diet, etc. The kind of diet that means you have to cut out entire food groups.
It makes me angry that these diets are available, because people buy into them as a 'quick fix'. Personally, I don't think it's healthy to cut things (i.e. carbs) from your diet as a long-term thing.
I can see the benefit of not eating carbs for a week to shift a couple of pounds, but I don't think it helps anyone to do this for months on end.
What do you guys think?
